Lyall was walking into the hotel when she spotted Elena. “Elena.” The elder smiled as she walked up and gave the other a hug. “Every time I see you, you get more beautiful.” She stated with a small laugh. “How are things going?”

Lyall was going to head back into the hotel as she saw someone at the corner of her eye. With a bit of her speed, she moved in front of the person in question and raised an eyebrow. A hand placed in front to stop the other from moving. “You know, Briana...you can’t avoid me. It’s a small enough town where I can see every corner you turn.” She stepped back and put her hand down. “I thought we were grown adults, and the last time I checked we were on good terms. What changed?”

“Christian.” Lyall smiled as she walked up to the other just making their way down to the lobby. “Just the person I was hoping to run into. Do you have a moment?” She asked hoping that she didn’t catch him rushing out the door for something more important. “I can be quick if you have somewhere to be.” She motioned her head to the office door. What once was Mack’s office, now Lyall’s for the time.

Lyall opened the door and smiled when she saw Briana. “Lucas wave hi to Aunty Briana.” She picked up the baby’s hand and did a wave. “Hi, come in!” She moved aside. “Lorcan isn’t home, he is working and then going to pick up Essy from school.”

There really wasn’t much to hide anymore. There were only so many oversized dresses and sweaters Lyall could wear to hide the ever growing bump on her belly before people started to notice. It was definitely a feeling she never had before. It was exciting to see this baby growing inside of her.
Pippa was talking about something as they walked down with a bag in their hands. Lyall dismissed trying on the clothes. “Pippa.” She cut her sister off from talking before she looked at her. “I’m pregnant.” Lyall just let it out as she sucked in a breath.

“James.” Lyall looked up form the paperwork. She smiled brightly. “How can I help you?” She tilted her head before gesturing for him to take a seat across from the desk. “I mean, not that I mind a chat. I just assumed you might need something since many people stop by for requests.” She laughed softly.

Lyall wanted to make sure everyone was okay. Even those, she never properly met yet. “Hi.” She smiled as she came up to Elena who seemed to be sitting at the park. She sat down as well. “Elena right?”

Lyall took a deep breath as her body shook as she held back her tears. She looked outside the window of Mack’s office. Though - it was hers now. They were immortal, nothing made sense. Caspian died though...so it seemed like anything could happen in this dreadful town. As much as Lyall wanted to pack up her things and leave. Leave the heartbreak of her own twin being killed. She couldn’t. She owed it to Mack to stay.
There was a small knock on the door before she heard it open. It took her a second to really gather herself before turning around to look at Christian. She asked him to meet her. Maybe this was a bad place to meet up, but she couldn’t find anywhere else where she didn’t feel like running away.
Lyall pulled a small smile when she saw him and walked over. “Hi.” She embraced him for a second before pulling away. Any longer and the tears will come out, and she would be damned to break down any longer than she had when she first heard the news.
