[College AU - Cla, Rai, Kimi, and Omi ;3;]
The four of them seemed like an odd group, like they'd have nothing in common, but somehow, the four of them got on like a house on fire. Sure, college duties meant they couldn't hang out all together all the time, especially with Omi not being a student. However, weekends were their own time, and it made things a lot easier to just do things.
They were all sitting in one of their dorm rooms, playing cards, and having a good time. Clay couldn't help but smile; this reminded him of the nights when he and his siblings would be up until dawn messing around. It felt so comfortable.
He's not sure when, or why, the conversation turned to relationships. He felt Omi shouldn't be hearing this, but he was a curious kid - he just hoped the others kept it PG. Soon though someone asked him if he was interested in anyway, and the blush his face gave immediately betrayed him. He rubbed the back of his neck, deciding to bite the bullet,
"I well...I guess there is someone..." Clay admitted quietly, "Uhm...well...I may sorta like Jack..."
The silence was suffocating. And when someone asked if he meant his room mate, he nodded,
Clay looked amongst the others, noting the specific looks everyone was giving him. A mixture of disgust, confusion, and judgement.
"Are ya'll judgin' me for the gay thing or the Jack thing?" Clay asked, defensively, "Cause if it's the latter, we're gonna have problems, and if it's the former, we're gonna have BIG problems."
"Urg, it's clearly the Spicer thing," Kimiko commented.
Clay blushed harder, opting to remain quiet as his friends made their opinions known. He opted to tug his hat down, covering his face as he went silent. It took a moment or two for him to speak up again,
"...Ya'll think I gotta chance in Hell of datin' him?"
Omi was more than happy to be the one to open the door when Kimiko and Raimundo dropped in. A rare time when Clay’s roommate wasn’t around. Clay mentioned his roommate was going to be gone for a few days, something related to his family. Which worked out for the four of them to have a ‘hang’ as they called it not that they were hanging anything up so Omi still didn’t understand why they called it that. But with Kimiko having a fight with her own roommate and the frat Raimundo stayed at hosting events that would make quiet and chill-outs not possible, the timing worked out in the end. So they called it all chill. Though Omi wasn’t sure Clay’s room was cold enough, he hoped the temperature would suffice.
All was going well enough, as they enjoyed their sweet-and-salty treats and some laughs while playing Phase Ten. Which Omi was most proud of how well he seemed to be doing. So far, each round, Omi managed to move on to the next phase, and he was even keeping his scores low. Only in the double digits.
Unlike Raimundo, who was the only one left on the first phase and had a score in the triple digits. Even Kimiko and Clay were doing far better, so it shouldn't have been much a surpise when Raimundo started to stir conversation away from thier game. Most of what they all spoke about was in one ear and out the other. Talk about class and professors. Though Omi did like it when they spoke about Professor Fung or Dashi, the dean of the school. Mostly, they complained about coach Guan. Even Omi was aware of him. And he was only the water boy.
"What about you, Clay? Find any honeys that even draw your eyes?" Raimundo suddenly asked.
Omi wasn't sure when they had gotten on to this topic; he thought they were just talking about the coach. Somehow that lead to some party Raimundo's frat threw it seemed. Though Omi didn't care when Raimundo spoke about the 'honey's' as he called them the expression Kimiko gave him made Omi feel that not what he should call them. But, well he hears Raimundo talk about it a lot he never had heard Clay mention intrest before so he had to admit even he was curious about if his big brother was.
"I well...I guess there is someone..." Clay admitted quietly, "Uhm...well...I may sorta like Jack..."
"You're roommate?" Omi voiced over either Raimundo or Kimiko. They had all met Jack a time or so before. And well? The expressions and slience was a warranted answer.
The classification did nothing to help. Jack was well Jack Spicer. In truth, Omi found Clay getting along with him hard enough to believe but romanticly to like Jack? Omi didn't understand a lot of things but even he felt the fact he was lost on this was the common way to feel. Jack was well hard to explain. but, never in a good way.
"Yeah, seriously, Clay, you know there's a whole LGBT club here, and such, why would that be the issue. Spicer thats an issue. There are like a 1000 students here, why Jack?"
"Clearly, Jack isn't a proper fit Clay!" Omi even voiced but it seemed to fall on deaf ears as Omi watched Clay pull down his hat, trying to cover his face but they could still see the bright red of Clay's face.
"...Ya'll think I gotta chance in Hell of datin' him?"
There was a collective sigh shared between the three of them it seems that Clay so called crush could be more than just that if they were thinking this. Even if Omi wasn't a big fan of the idea? Clay was his big brother and had done a lot for him so he stood up from his place and gently patted at Clay's shoulder.
"Worry not big brother Clay." Omi reassured before smiling, "You are far from Jack's league!"
"out of Jack's leauge" Raimundo muttered
"That as well," Omi stated, clearly not seeing his own mistake as he was trying to encourage Clay. "Jack would be lucky to be dated by you Clay!"
