Actually, I'm glad you asked! Let me rapidfire you my Silver headcanons (haircanons?) real quick:
Used to be one of those little toddlers with extremely curly hair. It straightened out as he got older.
Obviously keeps it on the longer side. He tried cutting it short early on in transitioning, but it made his face look rounder and he didn't get properly read as masc until it grew back out.
Yes, it is naturally that red. No, he is not related to Ariana/Mars/Maxie/Byron/Roark/insert other Pokémon redhead here. It is, however, from his mother's side of the family, and a trait shared with his cousin.
Pretty much just uses whatever Lyra buys because he trusts her judgment on it. (For the sake of my poor followers, though, it's Brocato Vibracolor)
