Ah, that. It was simply explained, really. Izana had consulted with Nyx about one of his visions, and the two worked tirelessly to unravel the magic of Valla. Would knowledge of that realm escape him, a direct descendant of the first dragons? Certainly not! While he’d not told Nyx about Valla itself, he did make it clear that he was doing his utmost to lift a deadly curse. Once anyone could openly speak of it, most of Kamui’s woes en route to peace would be irrelevant.
Sadly, the magic he’d painstakingly concocted had exploded in his face, and it had shot out vibrantly-hued sparks all over the place, hitting poor Kamui as she’d opened the door.
(It had also tossed him out of the room, and he’d landed in an ungraceful heap on his bum, but he’d preferred not to mention that.)
“Oh, uh, that! Well, let’s just say it’s about that you-know-what, m’kay?”
Obviously, he was referring to Valla.
“Now, see, my totally-awesome granddads upstairs ... you know, the gods? Yeah, they gave me a vision about how to undo the you-know-what’s thingamajig, but I think they left out an ingredient. Or it’s their idea of pranking me! Can’t really put a thing past my folks!”
