“You know, I’m beginning to feel obsolete here.” Jay muttered to himself as yet another person ran in without protection or back up. He was a cop, it was his job to protect the people and yet, here they were protecting him instead. “Hey careful!” He called out, moving to holster his gun and help the other move one of the boulders. “I’m guessing rock slides are fairly common here?”

“I’m just curious if some apartments are bigger than others. I’ve only been to mine and have caught a couple glimpses of others but I mean there are families that live together here.” Jay mouthed his curiosities allowed for he waned to get to know people. If he was supposed to spend his time here, why not try to make the most of it. Not to mention, having allies and contacts where usually on a high list of priorities for a detective.

“Similar to a lot of police work, isn’t it?” He replied back with a bit of sass, but he set his coffee down and tilted his head. “Look, you can’t tell me you don’t go with your gut on things so why fault him for going with his?”
Jay was currently occupying a table at the local diner, her laptop open in front of her, a plate of cheesy fries and a milkshake to the side of it as she stared in frustration at the screen. The design she was working on just wasn’t looking right and she was seriously getting very annoyed with it. Raising her hands to her face, she rubbed her eyes while groaning in annoyance, not realizing someone had been approaching her until there was a tap on her shoulder. Jumping almost out of her seat, she quickly lowered her hands. “What!?” She let out maybe a little too rudely as she pursed her lips and looked up to them, letting out a breath once she realized who it was. “Jeez! Don’t do that!” She then let out to them. @nightdrifters
