After A Couple Years|| Self Para
Lucas couldn't do it alone anymore. Everything was falling down on him; he was running into debt and there was nothing he could do about it. He was trying his best to support Cassie, and he was trying to pay for his college tuition, textbooks, supplies. Not only did he have to pay for all of this, he had to pay rent and buy food. To be honest he wasn't quite sure how he made it this far with one job, he had to keep using other students textbooks and work himself to the point where he'd pass out on the floor. Because of this problem, and the fact he has now getting out of college for the summer, he was going to get more jobs during the summer, but he decided that he really wanted his parents to also help him pay. To Lucas, it seemed very reasonable for him to run to his parents for help, he thought that they should be the ones paying for everything because they are his parents.
After getting off work early, having Aubrey make sure that anything left for him to do was taken care of, he drove to his parents house and knocked on the door. He heard footsteps coming closer to the door and a mumble that sounded like it was coming from a woman. "What do you want-..Why are you here?" His mother opened the door, a little shocked that he was there. "Can I talk to you?" Lucas asked. His mother simply looked at him in disgust and tried to close the door on him before Lucas put his foot between the door. "妈妈,这真的很重要...请大家听我说." Lucas frowned slightly. After taking a moment to think about it, his mom let him in and Lucas walked in, closing the door behind him.
A few minutes later, after sitting down with his mom (which he found rather weird for her to just let him in like that), he tried to explain to his mother about the situation. He told her about how he's been trying to support him and Cassie, but it was getting to the point where he couldn't pay for the two of them anymore. "So.. I-...Please-...Could you just lend me some money? It'd mean a lo-" He tried to speak before getting slapped across the face. "You come here after a couple years, just to ask for my money? Are you crazy?" His mother yelled. Lucas tried to stay calm for the most part.
"This kid, asking me for money...Who do you think you are?"
"Your son, I'm your son." Lucas' mom stood there in shock before throwing her tea in his face and whacking him.
"Coming into my house, asking for my money, and then disrespecting me? You're lucky I haven't killed you yet."
"I'm your son, you should be paying for part of my college tuition, as well as Cassie. She's your youngest child, and she's your daughter. You should be helping us instead of hitting us and pushing us away from you." Saying this earned him a couple more slaps and a punch. "Get out of my house, now." She kicked him. He took his things and ran out the door, slightly scared of his mother.
