after mulling over some of the great points @musefulstranger made yesterday on the last episode, especially on what drives Cosima, i realized that the four main clones are really similar in their primary and secondary motivations – or rather the inspirations for their customary LEDA recklessness. they all focus on the wellbeing of others; Rachel, on the other hand, only looks out for herself. you can easily construct a neat little circle that definitely excludes Rachel: • Cosima: reckless in curiosity (and love) • Helena: reckless in love (and family) • Alison: reckless in family (and protection) • Sarah: reckless in protection (and curiosity) • Rachel: reckless self-preservation (and affirmation)
