I really have to stress that absolutely nothing and no one could have prepared me for how off the rails orphan black actually is. its meta plot can be best described as a five-season-long custody battle for the sweetest yet most unnerving little girl in the world. a community theater production of jesus christ superstar is a thematic plot point, as is sexy air stewardess roleplay. everyone's a little bit bisexual. everything's extremely unethical. they use the term "clone club" unironically. they have color coded phones for every season. felix paints in an open-backed apron and nothing else. there's d&d. there's minecraft. there's an agricultural farming board game. there's jam burgers. there's a hallucinated swan.
