Ailbe didn’t quite understand how she and Jason had gotten here, something to do with her father speaking with Jason’s parents about their future together. She felt incredibly awkward about the whole thing, but she wasn’t going to question her father’s authority, “She’s lovely…” she added softly, “I’m sorry my father couldn’t be here tonight. He sends his apologies… the precinct has been crazy.”

Jason was confused. They were both old enough to tell their parents they weren't ready for such next step just yet. They barely confessed their feelings but they weren't even sure if it was a moment they were in or they truly were meant to be. He looked over to her and gave her a smile. "Oh don't worry, we still got my parents here to cover majority of the things they discussed with your dad." He said, "Besides, I have a feeling we'll be let out early on this wedding meeting."

"I like you mum," Ailbe spoke gently, still feeling rather awkward about the whole situation.

Jason & Ailbe sat in the couch of his parent’s living room. Not even does he understand how the both of them got messed up on this arrange marriage. But here they were. His parents were the ones mostly involved in all of this. “Huh?” Jason turned to face her, “Oh. Yeah...she is a nice woman.”

"Alright, I think I'm all ready now." William walked out of the room, checking on his suit as he made it to the center of the living room. He looked up at the other and gave her what seemed like a smile. "I really don't know why I have to go with you to this dinner party, I know no one!"

Just A Flesh Wound:  mysterymanjoseph and musesofj

Joseph was strolling through Central Park to unwind a bit before driving back to his estate.  He rounds a corner and sees two teens, one brandishing a knife at an elderly woman.  He thinks, “In broad daylight, out in the open even.”  He picks up his pace, knowing better to rush headlong into the situation.  He lucks out, coming right up behind the one with the knife and getting a Jujitsu wrist lock on him, forcing the teen to drop the knife.  He says, “Why don’t you kids do yourselves a favor and run away now?”  Before he can get the teen he has control of between himself and the second one, the second one picks up the knife and slashes Joseph on the left arm.  He grits his teeth, then swings the first teen into the second, knocking them both down.  The elderly woman leaves as fast as she can, as the teens get up and run the opposite way.  Joseph clamps his right hand over the slash on his left forearm, then says, “Damn, that is going to need stitches.”

"Babe?" Emm called as she came out of the bathroom, her hands shaking a little as she looked down, "I, uh... can you come here?"

Desmond furrowed his brow as he got up from the couch and walked towards the bathroom. “You don’t need help wiping, do you?”

Night In || Des and Emm

Desmond left work, still chuckling to himself about the texts between him and Emm. He was still amazed that he had found someone that understood him and was more than willing to act like a goof with him. After driving back home, thankful there wasn’t a lot of traffic, Desmond stood outside the door. “Knock, knock.” He called out, wondering if Emm would go along with the joke.
