Murten Festival 2022 fragile shades - PHILIPP GEIST 19-30. Jan 2022 Musée de Morat / Museum Murten On the occasion of the light art festival in Murten, Philipp Geist is showing a LichtRaum installation in the Musée de Morat / Museum Murten. Geist develops a poetic, painterly space installation from origami paper folds, such as paper cranes, and abstractly painterly image compositions projected into the room. This creates an interplay between the geometric shapes of the Japanese origami folds and the flowing, abstract digital colors and shapes of the projection. The shadows of origami and the projections stand out on the various walls. A room made of light, color, shapes and paper objects becomes accessible, and visitors can sink into the color and structures of the projections. The work is constantly changing. Geometric, spatial forms such as squares, cubes, openwork areas, lines and rays overlap in a continuous process, building up an overall picture, only to dissolve it in the next moment. This creates a complex visual architecture that is constantly in flux. Geist shows minimally puristic, sometimes color-intensive, dream-like and shadowy-fragile picture compositions. Philipp Geist works worldwide as an artist with the media projection mapping / light installation, photography and painting.
