I think the reason she hates her last name so much (not so much the first name, but the last name, for sure) is because she had kind of a fucked up childhood. My surname reminds me of my father and I’d rather forget him.

Pretty sure if Sameen called her Sam or Samantha she'd be okay with it but again... nah, I think she'd call her Root anytime... and I mean... ANY time *winkwink*

It kind of annoys me too, tbh, but I think part of the reason Harold insists on calling her Miss Groves is to remind her that she’s a human being, not just part of the machine. linfo.org/root.ht…
Maybe but it's still her choice. She knows she's human, I think she realizes that really well. But Groves is a name she clearly hates for whatever reason (it's blurry rn in my mind why), Harold shouldn't use it but fine I'll give him the free card. What bugs me really much is when the fandom uses it. Specially when you see the same people getting pissed at random people using Shiloh instead of John while talking about well John Jolie-Pitt.
Honestly, Root is the top of my list when I watch POI then Shaw then Bear (sometimes it's just Bear really I love that dog). I like Harold but damn I want to punch him in the face when he calls Root Ms Groves!

I don't think so. I've had it in many places for him before including on my bed where it is now. He usually just prefers to sleep on his sheepskin or on my feet. He also gets bored of his things very quickly. Hopefully the person I sold it to will get more use out of it!
