mushipper713 replied to your post “Hey I’m looking for an 18+ mdzs rp partner to help me survive the...”
Tell me about these ships please X3
Of course!! I will happily gush about my otps until the end of days~
(FYI all of the following pictures are taken from official art from the donghua, manhua, and audio drama.)
#1: Lan Wangji / Wei Wuxian:
Also known as “wangxian”, this ship is the main canonical couple for mo dao zu shi! Lan Wangji is the taller guy in white and blue, whereas Wei Wuxian is the shorter guy in black and red. They are very much an opposites attract sort of couple. Lan Wangji is a strict, law-abiding man, who likes his routines, his studies, and his peace and quiet. Whereas Wei Wuxian is a mischievous prankster with a hero complex that compels him to rush headlong into danger. Surprisingly, although Wei Wuxian was always teasing Lan Wangji when they were teenagers, Lan Wangji developed a crush on his tormentor, and has been hopelessly pining after Wei Wuxian for about eighteen years. Unfortunately, Lan Wangji is REALLY bad with expressing emotions (I personally headcanon Lan Wangji as autistic, because he’s also fairly semi-verbal), so for most of those years Wei Wuxian thought Lan Wangji absolutely hated his guts.
After Wei Wuxian dies and comes back to life (not a spoiler, I promise, this is the premise of the entire story, scene one begins with Wei Wuxian’s resurrection), Lan Wangji just spoils Wei Wuxian like mad because he’s just so glad that he got a second chance to be Wei Wuxian’s friend
They’re honestly one of the cutest fictional couples I’ve come across in a long time. Their ship has everything: childhood friends, enemies to lovers, slow burn, unrequited love, hurt/comfort, etc.
#2: queerplatonic Wei Wuxian / Wen Ning:
So this ship involves Wei Wuxian (from ship #1) with his zombie bff Wen Ning, who is a literal cinnamon roll. Despite being what is known as a “fierce corpse”, Wen Ning is actually a nervous bug who just wants to help others. However, Wen Ning does have a fierce loyalty to Wei Wuxian, who stood up for him once when he was being publicly shamed by his sect. I like the idea of Wen Ning and Wei Wuxian developing a semi-platonic, semi-romantic relationship, so he can continue to third wheel for the rest of his afterlife.
#3.1: Jiang Cheng / Wen Qing:
So this is kind of an odd one! That is to say, it’s not a particularly popular ship. They don’t even really interact, except in the live action, which deviates so much from the original story that it’s really it’s own separate thing. But I personally really like their dynamic! They’ve very similar characters. Jiang Cheng (the purple guy) is temperamental, overly competitive, and extremely hard working. Wen Qing (the girl in red) is similarly headstrong, short tempered, and devoted to her career. Unfortunately, they don’t have a chance to have a happy ending in canon. Sect rivalries get in the way, but that only makes me want it more. I love divergent fics where these two wind up working together. Many of those fics involve a political marriage, to cease war between their sects. And of course that marriage of convenience always turns into real love! Maybe it’s a cliche but I don’t care, it’s so good!
Ship #3.2: Jiang Cheng / Nie Huaisang:
This is a slightly more popular pairing for the ye olde sour grape (Jiang Cheng). This ship pairs Jiang Cheng with resident cowardly lion Nie Huaisang, an effeminate guy with an eye for fine art and a slight flair for the dramatic. The two were friends in school, but have since grown apart. Again, the main appeal of this ship is the whole opposites attract thing. However, I like both chengqing (Jiang Cheng / Wen Qing) and sangcheng (Jiang Cheng / Nie Huaisang), so of course I said “fuck it, Jiang Cheng should date both”.
Jiang Cheng notably has some very strict guidelines when it comes to the ideal woman he wants to marry: “naturally beautiful, graceful and obedient, hard-working and thrifty, coming from a respected family, cultivation [magic] level not too high, personality not too strong, not too talkative, voice not too loud and must treat Jin Ling [his nephew] nicely.” I think it’s neat that half of these could apply to Wen Qing, while the other half could apply to Nie Huaisang: Wen Qing is naturally beautiful, Nie Huaisang is graceful and obedient, Wen Qing is hard-working and thrifty, Nie Huaisang comes from a respected family, and his magic level isn’t too high, Wen Qing’s personality is not too strong, she’s not too talkative, and her voice is not too loud. And finally, I think both of them would treat Jiang Cheng’s nephew nicely.
Also, there’s just something so delectable about the idea of Jiang Cheng having a very effeminate boyfriend and a very masculine girlfriend.
And last, but not least, ship #4: Jin Zixuan / Jiang Yanli:
Jin Zixuan and Jiang Yanli (ship name: xuanli) are an especially adorable married couple in the story. Jiang Yanli is the elder sister to both Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng, and while they are both hard-headed and loud, Jiang Yanli is quiet and serene, but with an iron backbone. She stands up for what is right, even when it scares her half to death to do so. She also likes to dote on people. Jin Zixuan is the rich guy she was betrothed to from childhood. She’s loved him since the beginning, but he didn’t always love her. See, Jin Zixuan is a spoiled brat, who is as prideful as a peacock. He thought that any women who showed interest in him was only after his money, so he keeps all women at arm’s length. But surprise! Jiang Yanli liked Jin Zixuan for his personality all along. And once Jin Zixuan realizes that, he grows to love her in turn.
A lot of people will tell you that Jiang Yanli “deserves better”, and while I think that’s true in general, I don’t know if that applies to Jin Zixuan. Despite his inflated ego, he’s actually a pretty good guy. I can’t tell you why without getting into spoilers, but trust me when I say that there’s more to him than meets the eye.
Aaaaaaaand, that’s it! Those are my top four ships for mo dao zu shi!

Don’t mean to seem rude or bossy, but bare wired cages are pretty bad for bunnies poor sensitive feet. There are much better and healthier options for them that you can see in Rabbit House of Society website if you are interested in the care of those cutie paws
@mushipper713 hey maybe read my faq before telling me i’m doing something wrong ✌ wire flooring is not evil, her feet are not hurting, the HRS is no better than PETA and i’m not interested in looking up anything on their site thanks have a nice day

I actually have multiple characters that spring to mind, from multiple fandoms. Jervis Tetch, Jack Skellington, Quackerjack, and Fluttershy. Which is UNFORTUNATE, because most of the characters I just listed have a streak of obsessive tendencies, But I’ll try and break down why I feel like I relate to them.
Jervis Tetch– otherwise known as the Mad Hatter. I feel like you end up getting more of me through how I write him, however, within show canon itself he has some traits that stick out as well. His love of Lewis Carroll, for one, as I’ve never shied away from the fact he is one of my favorite writers. Jervis’ desire to put his best foot forward– even if it hides his feelings/intentions is another. ALTHOUGH, I don’t feel like my habit of doing so isn’t anywhere near as… concerning. Mine comes from not wanting people to feel bad, while Jervis has a certain image he wants to uphold. I also think we both have an issue with victim complexes, though again I would argue it derives from different sources.
Jack Skellington– the Pumpkin King. Again the first thing that comes to mind is that when he has a new interest, that spook is COMMITTED. Getting all sorts of things to feed his desire and curiosity about the subject. His enthusiasm and obliviousness I also tend to feel a kinship towards. Yet… It’s also his sadness. I still remember being young in my hospital room, listening to my soundtrack for the movie on loop, and the ache I would feel at ‘Jack’s Lament’. That feeling of needing something to fill the void he was feeling. The desire to break away from his current life to find something new and wonderful. Then of course the idea of feeling that way, while others around me didn’t quite understand.
Quackerjack– the toymaker turned tyrant of Saint Canard. Yet another character that shows one face to people while hiding another, I’m realizing. He also has a desire to latch onto youth– though in particular the childhood HE had. (I do feel a bit more open minded in comparison, however. While I’ll wax nostalgia, I also enjoy many new cartoon and gizmos of the present.) The constant need to joke around, only to flip on the dime and demand for the joking to end once my mood has sour. Yeah, yeah I get that. I also think, like the Mad Hatter, this is another moment of people ending up underestimating them because of the image they project. While I don’t hide exploding bananas or mind control cards up my sleeve, I do feel like sometimes my need for jesting can make people forget that I do have a mind of complexity and deep thoughts behind my childish interests.
And Fluttershy– the Element of Kindness. Unlike the others I listed, this is the one I feel like is more telling. While there are negative aspects she and I share– like Fluttershy’s habit of being a doormat because she doesn’t want to upset people– I think the desire to find kindness even in the situations where one doesn’t expect is something i really relate to. While I may have my doubts, I want to give people the benefit of the doubt. I feel better thinking that others share the want to not offend and wanting to share love and understanding. Sure, sometimes people are going out of their way to hurt you. But sometimes kindness is all they need to help turn themselves around. Back on topic though, I also share Fluttershy’s issues with not doing well with balancing assertiveness verses letting people walk all over me. Sometimes taking it to the extremes, and then feeling bad about it afterwards. Fluttershy also has, within canon, shown that they feel more capable of finding confidence behind a character/role she’s playing… and let me say, that’s a mood.
Perryshmirtz FanFiction (ur top ten favorites, by you and others?)
Welp, that’s a good question.
I’mma start with Pleuvoir by DesdemonaKaylose because I adore that fic. Noir AU, Perry as the mute investigator, Heinz as the Dame... It’s a human AU but this is one of the few times I don’t mind.
(Really, anything by DesdemonaKaylose. I’m not gonna list them bc that would take too long, but trust me they’re all great. Including the Perry/Heinz/Peter ot3, one of two fics to explore that ship.)
How To Survive by jmandrake. Another author who can make me love a human AU.
White Lies by freedomandfiction. A+ use of strikethrough.
This is a three-sentence shitpost and I adore it. I keep coming back, again and again.
I’m actually scrolling through my Evernote right now, bc I hoard fics there to reread whenever, even after they’re taken down. Which I mention because two of my favourites are gone. When We Didn’t Get Along and The Masqurade Protocol, both by lumpyspacewriter.
To Have And Hold (Captive) by radondoran. A wonderfully in-character marriage proposal fic. (It’s a trap, obviously.)
Blackout by Cravenkun. Gotta love that hurt/comfort. (This person also wrote the other Perry/Heinz/Peter fic I’ve found.)
Teil das Bett mit mir (das ich nicht so frier) by Sarcophagus, for that “they’re both platypuses” ship feel. (It’s a temporary transformation.)
schwellenangst from the Disney kinkmeme, author unknown. SFW, although the kinkmeme itself is generally not. Deals mostly with Heinz’s relationship with his family.
This fic by Present Anon, another hurt/comfort.
Arm Yourself by randomfics is heartwrenching. More about Heinz’s backstories than his relationship with Perry, doesn’t end happily, warning for child abuse (without canon’s framing of the backstories as humourous), but it’s well-written.
This fic by uh... *checks tags* Present Anon again? Fairly fluffy.
Not Just a River in Egypt by kirael. In my ao3 bookmarks I noted this down as “Perry♦Heinz” so... it’s platonic with emotional support.
I’m already well over 10, but here’s They Don't Stop Coming by CelesteFitzgerald anyway because I love it.
And I can’t not mention Just You by jmandrake. I’m a sucker for meaningful name usage, and this fic does it so wonderfully.
Some of those are romantic, some are platonic, some are ambiguous. I don’t really make much of a distinction in my mind, haha. Should all be T at the highest, I think. (Also short, bc I tend to go for snapshots of the relationship over extended narratives.)
As for my own fics? Can’t go wrong with In Which The O.W.C.A. Has Policies For Everything (But Still Can't Budget Their Way Out Of A Paper Bag). It’s, uh... I wrote in the genre I’m most experienced with, with the ship I’m most invested in, in the pov style I prefer. It’s my most popular fic, by bookmarks.
If you want fics of mine where they actually interact, I have a “series” of them. Pretty much all standalones unless specified otherwise.
Thanks for the ask!
mushipper713 replied to your post “Who wants to hear about my modern au moomin headcanons?”
Oooh I love this au X3 what cloths style do you think each character has or do they still look as they always have (no cloths at all lol) and does Snufkin have a car for his travels or is he still a travel by foot guy?
Sorry for replying to this so late
BUT okay so moomins and snorks still wear accessories and maybe jackets when it’s cold but they’re still got enough fur that they don’t need to wear clothes (and most don’t because otherwise they might overheat)
That being said, Moomin wears a lot of scarves because they billow majestically in the wind and also because he’s a bit of a hipster. Most of them are gifts from Snorkmaiden and Snufkin. Snorkmaiden’s scarves are generally high quality, soft, and fashionable. Meanwhile, Snufkin likes to gift Moomin with scarves with ridiculous patterns and/or color combinations on them. Moomin appreciates every single scarf he is gifted.
Snorkmaiden still likes to wear jewelry, like her golden anklet, such as hair pins, rings with big gaudy gems on them, and of course, a bow on her tail. She probably also got her ears pierced, and wears little studs, or the types of earrings you could get at Claire’s. Because her ears move so much, she’s not into dangling earrings.
Snufkin dresses exclusively in hand-me-downs and stuff he got at the local thrift store. Nothing he wears matches. His sense of style is a weird mix of vintage hippie and modern-day hipster.
Miss Mymble also enjoys vintage clothing, though her style is more 50′s while Snufkin’s is a mix of 70′s, 90′s, and today. She especially loves poodle skirts and funky prints/patterns that look like they came from a couch cushion or a curtain.
Little My went through a goth phase. She owned a lot of red plaid skirts, combat boots, and band tees. It was a short-lived phase, but she still has quite a few black items left over from it. Otherwise, she dresses plainly but fashionably. She’s tuned into all the newest trends, though she’s quick to ditch them once they become “mainstream” popular.
Sniff once got an expensive watch as a birthday present and now he wears it every single minute of every day. He is convinced he will be buried with that watch.
ALSO Snufkin is neither a “car for his travels” or “travel by foot” guy. He owns an electric scooter. He’s had it for like seven years now and he really needs to replace the battery but he refuses to move on to a new model.
Actually I was wondering about your loz magical girl au since I haven’t seen loz content for a long time until now and I really loved your drawing of the au. If you don’t mind explaining it to me I’d love to hear/see more.
Yeeee I’d love to share!!
So!! The basic premise is that certain princesses from various loz games live in the modern world, and at the age of 18 they develop the power to transform into a magical girl, with witchy powers relating to a certain element.
Zelda is the princess of light, Midna is the princess of shadow, Mipha is the princess of water, ect ect.
And they rule over their chosen element and keep in in balance, neither letting it becoming too powerful or too weak. The world is full of elemental beasts that only princesses and their chosen champions can see, and if one element starts becoming too powerful, the beasts will become large and violent. So the princesses each have a magic staff that they can use to both control their element and siphon elemental energy from and to their beasts.
Additionally, each princess gets a chosen champion to help protect them from harm. The champion can also transform, though they take on a more animalistic appearance, and develop superhuman abilities based on their animal. For example, Link takes on a more wolf-like appearance, and becomes both more perceptive and more resilient.
The story begins a few days prior to Zelda’s 18th birthday. She’s the class president at the high school (to no one’s surprise), and she’s excited to receive her powers. Link, her childhood friend, was born with the ability to see the elemental beasts, so Zelda has believed from a young age that he’s special. However, Zelda’s champion has already been chosen for her -- every princess in her family line has been served by a member of the Sheikah family, and thus Impa (the one from Skyward Sword) is meant to become Zelda’s champion.
Then Midna, the princess of twilight, is betrayed by her chosen knight, Zant, and comes to Zelda for help. Link volunteers to become her new knight and help her restore balance to the elements.
So far I have the following princesses and champions:
Zelda, princess of light, and Impa, who develops cat-like dexterity
Midna, princess of shadow, and Link, who develops wolf-like resilience
Mipha, princess of water, and Sidon, who develops shark-like strength
Riju, princess of lightning, and Revali, who develops bird flight and sight
And then there’s Ganondorf, the prince of dark, who has done the unthinkable. He has two champions, first Ghirahim, and then Zant, who betrayed Midna. He’s been attacking other people’s elemental beasts to make his own stronger, upsetting the balance.
I also want to add fire and wood as elements, but I am having a hard time coming up with princes/princesses and champions for them. I’m thinking of having Agatha (from twilight princess) as an insectoid champion, though, to serve the prince/princess of wood
The key ships would be Impa/Zelda and Link/Midna, because those are my top loz otps
The starting setting would be high school, near the end of the semester. Some of the princes/princesses and champions would have already graduated, but most of them are in their senior year... because high school tropes are fun.
Zelda is a typical straight-A student, beloved by all. Impa is a quiet loner who hangs around Zelda like a shadow. Link is on the baseball team, but he’s also a quiet guy, and he uses sign language to communicate. Midna is a punk, wearing all black and lots of leather, and she has lots of piercings, too. Her eyeliner game is always on point. Sidon and Revali are also jock-types, and are also on the baseball team. They both hang out with Link, even though Revali calls Link his rival, and refuses to admit that they’re friends.
Ghiraham and Zant are also punks, though Ghirahim is also a former theater kid. They used to hang out with Midna, but recently they’ve begun idolizing Ganondorf, a high school graduate taking a gap year, who is causing more trouble than Midna’s comfortable with.
And Mipha’s now a college student, and she’s a short, shy bookworm with big owl-eye glasses that transform into more stylish glasses when she’s in princess mode.
That’s all I’ve got for now! Thank you so much for asking!
Moomin headcanon please? What do you think will be the future of Fillyjonk’s children? Like how will they be when grown up? Will they be better or just like their mother? (And a bonus answer if that’s alright, how do you think they’ll treat the Springtime Trio’s relationship?)
That’s a good question! I imagine it might be a little different from all three of them (I’m going by the 1990’s anime where Mrs. Fillyjonk has three children, one eldest, one middle, and one youngster.)
One of them is certainly to take after their mother. My headcanon is that this would be the eldest of the children. She grows up a little less bigoted, but she still often walks around with her nose in the air, because she was told all her life that she was better than everyone else, and she has internalized that lesson.
The youngest child would likely be the most radically different. She became exposed to the Moomins at a critical part of her development, leading her to question her mother’s world-view. She often disagrees with her mother just to disagree with her, assuming that she should just believe the opposite of whatever her mother believes.
And the middle child would be somewhere in-between. Sometimes she sides with her elder sister, sometimes with her younger. Mostly, though, she tries to come to her own conclusions, rather than automatically assuming that her mother is right, or automatically assuming that her mother is wrong.
When it comes to the springtime trio, the middle child is the one who bothers them the least about it all. She was curious, sure, and she asked a lot of questions. However, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden (because Snufkin hates explaining their relationship to people) answered all of her questions. Though her questions may have not been worded as well as they could have been, it was clear from her demeanor that she didn’t mean any offense.
The eldest sister is a little more rude about it, though she’s not as blatant about it as Mrs. Fillyjonk. Rather, she will purposefully avoid talking about “their arrangement” (as she calls it, always accompanied with a distasteful sniff) unless someone else brings it up.
The youngest of the sisters is supportive, but she’s also nosy and overly personal. It’s kind of clear to everyone that she’s using her support of the springtime trio’s polyamory in order to annoy her mother, which can make Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden, and Snufkin all feel uncomfortable.
Thanks for asking!! This was fun to think about!
