Schizophyllum commune (lat. Schizophyllum commune). An inedible, non-poisonous mushroom.
It grows on dry, dead and living weakened trunks of deciduous trees, causing a white, slowly developing rot on the surface. It is found everywhere throughout the year in forests, gardens, parks, fences and old wooden buildings. It is common in cuttings, along roads and clearings, but in the depths of the forest it is less common 𖡼𖤣𖥧𖡼.
Щелелистник обыкновенный (лат. Schizophyllum commune).
Creamy Spinach and Mushroom Pasta Delight This creamy spinach and mushroom pasta is a comforting dish that combines the earthy flavors of mushrooms with the freshness of spinach, all enveloped in a rich ricotta and parmesan sauce. Perfect for a cozy dinner! Ingredients Whole Wheat Pasta (300g) Button Mushrooms (200g) Fresh Spinach (150g) Ricotta Cheese (1 cup) Parmesan Cheese (½ cup, grated) Garlic (3 cloves, minced) Olive Oil (2 tablespoons) Lemon Zest (from 1 lemon) Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional, to taste) Step-by-Step Instructions 1. Boil the Pasta Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the whole wheat pasta and cook according to the package instructions, usually about 810 minutes for whole wheat varieties. Once al dente, drain the pasta, reserving about half a cup of the pasta water for later use. Set the pasta aside. 2. Sauté the Mushrooms While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add the sliced button mushrooms. Stir occasionally, allowing the mushrooms to release their moisture and brown nicely, which should take about 57 minutes. The mushrooms should turn golden brown and produce a rich aroma. 3. Add the Garlic Once the mushrooms are browned, reduce the heat slightly and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Stir for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic, as it can turn bitter. 4. Wilt the Spinach Next, toss in the fresh spinach. Stir it into the mushrooms and garlic, allowing it to wilt down for a minute or two. The spinach will shrink significantly, adding color and nutrients to the dish. 5. Create the Ricotta Sauce In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the grated parmesan. Add a pinch of salt, black pepper, and lemon zest to enhance the flavor. If you prefer a creamier sauce, add a few tablespoons of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency. 6. Combine Everything Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the mushrooms and spinach. Pour the ricotta and parmesan mixture over the pasta, stirring gently to coat everything in the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add more reserved pasta water, a little at a time, until silky and smooth. 7. Add Lemon Zest and Crushed Red Pepper Finally, sprinkle the lemon zest over the pasta for a fresh brightness. If you enjoy a bit of heat, add crushed red pepper flakes to taste, enhancing the earthy flavors of the mushrooms. 8. Serve and Enjoy
