It’s important to have a strong foundation on the musical alphabets, it’s sequence (forward and backward) and relationships between the alphabets, for later understanding of chord formations and intervallic sight reading. So I asked the children to “make a ladder of the musical alphabets using the blocks”. It was very interesting to see that the boy who is left-handed built the ladder from right to left in his first attempt. He was also challenged when asked to build the alphabet up from another alphabet but C. After building the “ladder”, the children got to choose a Lego character and we took turns to be the leader giving commands to the character if it should “step” or “skip”, up or down. The sequence of the alphabets seems so basic to us. It was eye-opening for me to see how the children processed those supposedly very basic information with their formation of blocks. #pianolearningforbeginner #musictheory #musicalalphabets #duplo #musicteachingideas #musicalgames #musiclearning #musictherapist #conbriomusictherapy https://www.instagram.com/p/CcVZlI9PtZm/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
