5 Fun Music Resources for your Kids

I find that as a music teacher, it gets tricky finding resources that are helpful and fun in teaching music to your class.  You can even implement many of these songs into regular elementary class teaching. These programs have various videos and several resources online.  I enjoy some of the fun songs and kinesthetic coordination movements that are taught.

This is another great resource. It allows you to choose different formats for how you want blank sheet music printed out. This is definitely one of the ones I use frequently. Check it out I hope it's useful.

Tune into Chords - Chordify

Chordify turns any music or song (youtube, deezer, soundcloud, mp3) into chords. Play along with guitar, ukulele or piano using our intuitive playback interface

This is an awesome resource. I've used it a couple times to check if I figured out the chords right for a song on YouTube. Great resource. Definitely worth checking out if you're trying to figure out a song.

Learn how to play guitar with free online guitar lessons. This website features both acoustic guitar lessons and electric guitar lessons that will guide you every step of the way. They include video lessons, articles, and printable sheet music!

This is one of the first resources I used when learning guitar. Great resource. I definitely learned a lot. Check it out.

Berklee Online is Berklee College of Music's online extension school. With world renowned faculty and unparalleled networking opportunities, Berklee Online brings the best of Berklee to students around the world.

They offer a free online sample voice lesson. Which is awesome. And if you like it enough you may even consider taking a couple online courses. Check it out.

This website has some great music theory lessons and exercises. Very similar to teoria but has some different things. I use it to practice aural skills. Hope it's useful.

This is another great app. I recently downloaded it and it works great. If you ever have a song in your head and can't remember the name hum it and it'll find the song for you. Or if you're listening to a song use this app and it'll let you know what it is. Awesome app. Check it out.
