Back to Where We Came From {Kyouko & Mami}
You know those days, where everything is so melancholic without explanation? Well, maybe there's kind of an explanation, but it's beyond her right now. She's still really torn and behaving abnormally neurotic, but she's been doing better about avoiding people and scavenging food from wherever she could. She's not starving now, and she's at least trying to make attempts at feeding herself rather than lock herself away for a week. Guess where she's been recently? The Monobear Store. What did she get there? A shit ton of this off-brand Monocky. Yep, she still has the Monobear Coins from all the way back on that slaughterfest of a camping trip. It's crazy to think that that was months ago now. She'd been here for months, and she'd probably continue to be here. Nothing she could do about it.
So far, everything is safe. As long as she's not bothered, she can manage to block out the more gruesome spectrum of thoughts that had been following her since she'd revived for her third go at living. No one was approaching her directly, but sometimes interactions weren't stunted by a single possibility. Chance meetings were meant to happen sometimes.
Along her path through the dorm hall, on her way returning to room 217, this chick has the gall to just happen to be in the same place at the same time.
No, but this is different- this was someone she'd never except to end up trapped in Hell on Earth. She was the one with the ideals of justice that she'd come to despise, but also the one who'd lifted her up when there was nothing left for her. The one she'd betrayed, the one she had been avoiding like an ex you don't want to have to look in the face when you walk down the sidewalk. Someone she'd thought of as her senpai, as her sister, some time that felt so long ago she questioned if those events ever actually occurred.
They had to have. If they hadn't, she wouldn't react this way. Gaping at the newcomer before her, her hand froze, the box slipping away from her grasp and crashing onto the floor, scattering the treats. Fuck. The pocky currently between her fangs snapped under the pressure, and with a raspy and harsh tone, she muttered,
"Mami... Th' fuck are you doin' here."
