Tigger, the hybrid zebra/mustang, talking to a burro.
Aubergine was returned to us last winter. He is the only male in our herd of five donkeys. I named him after his purplish-black coat. We want to build him a packsaddle and train him for the trail.
And everyone but me rolled in the dirt when the rain stopped. Pacheco and Ramona are having a snack.
Waiting for the hay truck.
They pushed down the fence to munch the potato plants. Looking a bit stoned but still walking.
This was Bravo when we first got him and he was a stallion. He was easy to train and went to an outfitter that had a trail riding concession in Santa Fe. The pandemic forced the man to close his business and dispose of horses. Bravo came back to us. When he gets done with his hoof rehab, he will be available for adoption again.
I tame and train mustangs and burros. I've trained over 600 animals. This summer I will be compiling video clips of my process with 3 or 4 different horses. I am 66 years old so I do it the easy way.
Pacheco was a stallion until he came to Mustang Camp. He was tamed and gelded, then adopted by someone who had no time for a horse, now he is back and getting ready for re-adoption. He is about 13hh and 12 years old. Mr. Personality!
