Time to get firewood. 150 nights of cold.
The fullness of an August garden.
Tee hee hee.
The beet seeds are sprouting!
Nice vines, but no flowers.
The pretty Bumblebee tomatoes.
These are semi-determinates. Harder to pick!
A green grasshopper resting on a red zinnia.
Overrun with lettuce. Lettuce soup in the plans. The purples are stunning.
IT’S HERE!
Be Kind to Me, a book of reasons to love the important underappreciated things.
I’ve been so good about not telling you too much about this project, saving it for this surprise! I’ve written and illustrated and self published this book! It features 14 plants, animals, and insects that are often thought of as pests, but are actually so lovely and important. Educational for both kids and grown ups, I hope it will help inspire people to be kind to our planet and all the wonderful things that grow and live on it.
Preorders are now open! You can get copies only through my Etsy shop. The preorders END AUGUST 1ST 2020 AT 10PM EST

Thank you so much to all the people who proof read, told me I could do it, and especially to all of you who will be getting a copy and spreading the love.
I love this work! So important in this world! Spread the love!
New Mexico prosperity.
What you plant now, under the new moon, will be what you reap in the not-so-distant future. Leeks are coming to my house.
My toads are even now digging up to the floodwaters that softened the mud they were burrowed in. Toad hibernation is over.
Our first decent rain in many months.
Kolhrabi is an old fashion vegetable. Have you ever eaten a kolhrabi?
The Glacier tomatoes are so prolific!
