At the House, rain pours lightly outside. An animated conversation can be heard inside the living room, behind the glass doors. The television is playing a news broadcast where the reporter is a very tired looking Watchog.
“As we all know, 15 years ago was when an eruption from the Galar region’s Wyndon City spread giant Wishing Stars and Dynamax energy across the globe.”
“This event lead into the resulting mass extinction of humans, also known as the ‘New Darkest Day.’“
“These giant Wishing Stars that fell 15 years ago are now exploding. Releasing massive amounts of Dynamax energy and causing any and all Pokemon within its blast radius to Dynamax.”
“It is currently unknown if this is happening in other regions due to limited communication....”
Three Pokemon sat in the living room, debating amongst themselves. The topic was ‘How do we get Kappa to turn around, because she’s too stubborn to do it herself?’
Nigel wanted to try to verbally convince her, Shellpos didn’t even want to try, and Mustela wasn’t sure anything would work, but wanted to at least warn Kappa of the danger she was galivanting towards.
“Unova’s largest Wishing Star?”
Right next to the Giant Chasm (Kappa’s destination), was a massive Wishing Star. Bigger than the others which fell, and the largest to land in Unova. With the news reporting on the Wishing Stars suddenly and violently exploding, many of the house Pokemon became worried about Kappa and her party.
“Normally, you’d think a giant explodey rock would deter Kappa, but she’s frustratingly thickheaded when it comes to this journey of self-discovery she’s on.”
“Okay, I have an idea.” Nigel took a deep breath. “ We will try calling her, and if she doesn’t answer or take us seriously, then we call Marigold.”
