Ah!!! I tried silica drying gel and it worked so well! I might have left them in for a day or two too long but honestly I am supper happy with how they turned out. These three were actually from the same plant allay once so they already were lucky. I can’t wait to preserve more of my lovely mutant flowers now!
This is a fascaited Gaillardia Aristata or the Common Blanket Flower. Me and my boyfriend stumbled across it while taking some pictures by a lake, and we are so damn lucky. Fasciation is a mutation that occurs in every plant, and isn’t very common to see. One of the flowers has a huge mutation going on and then there is another behind the first that has a little bit going on as well. As for the rest they are normal! We will be checking on it every now and again to see its growth so expect updates
Mutant Gerbera Daisies I shelved at work today. Bought the top one after my shift 🌿🌼
Mutated flower (Pseudo Pelorie) of a Foxglove 'Monstruosa' (Digitalis purpurea 'Monstruosa') -Seed source / Bezugsquelle für Samen: https://www.saatkontor.de/contents/de/p1316.html
Mutated dandelion dissection showing the nature of the deformation. It appeared as a bloom within a bloom but appears to be a hyperbolic shape. A fibrous string-like structure was found in the stem attached to the bottom of the flower.
