Leave it to the golden tiger child to be the one to help him. Really, he couldn't understand why the two were held at different levels of regard -- there was so much in common between them that it didn't make sense to praise one and not the other (even if it didn't happen too very often within the ranks of the Port Mafia.)

Being stuck with Atsushi for medical help was humiliating.
Not only had he been fighting conflicting feelings for his partner, but that stupid tiger had him beat when it came to endurance as well. Case in point... Atsushi wasn't the one with the side of his ribs slashed open. Whoever had led the attack knew them only too well -- timing the blow with the exact moment he'd raised his hand to send Rashoumon out for one of his own on the distraction.
He searched a pocket for his phone, checking how much time they had left before Mori would have expected them back. With a roll of his eyes, he shoved it back into hiding. They had a few more minutes, at least. That was better than nothing, he supposed. As long as blood wasn't dripping from his side with every step, they must have been well enough to return.
"I'm starting to get uncomfortable like this--" hunched to one side with his shirt ripped to shreds. Of course the enemy had been hiding in front of them -- possibly in plain sight, and neither of them had laid eyes on the pathetic cretin. "Are you finished yet?"

Despite everything it was quite a surprise when he felt someone launch on him & jester found himself pinned to the floor. With that whether it was on purpose or not, head did hit the ground, blurring vision & bringing annoying pain as well. So unusually there was silence, waiting for everything to be clear again. Of course there was moment of shock, but it wasn’t long till he was back in his cheerful persona, especially after seeing who was responsible for that.
“ Waaah! I’ve been attacked by a kitten! “ Despite acting like he was in terror, both sides more likely knew it was nothing more than mere act, even out of pure wording. Some would even say mockery. After moment tho, he calmed down & grin appeared on his face. Oh, he’s far from done with taking up the stage. “ But anyway, let me ask you a question: what are you about to do now? Wait for help or try to contain me yourself? Hm? Interesting case isn’t it? Because no matter what you do, I’ll manage way out! “ He had his experience in escaping tricks after all.
