Out of nowhere, he grabbed her from behind, physically picking her up before walking away. Mid-trail. He's not even the killer this time.

     KATE THOUGHT THE FIRM GRASP pulling her from behind was the trapper-- and why shouldn’t she ? she’s one boot in a bear trap, one digging into the dirt beside it. thankfully, their coarse material provided a tad more COVERAGE than say, hightops would. but that seldom prevented her shriek or the crimson oozing around sharp clasps in her leg. 

     expecting to be plucked regardless of how long her fingernails claw at the metal, she had let her hands fall to her side and prepped herself to get wiggling from evan’s grasp. but when her hand grasps hair, confusion furrows her brow. it wasn’t real hair, and it was a texture she was familiar with. the realization just brings a sigh to fall off her lips.
