You’re so outspoken and I absolutely love LOVE that you make your characters dark skinned because that representation is so freaking important especially on this website . Thank you so much for the kind words, I truly do appreciate it and honestly, I think I started doing edits wayyyy back in 2017-2018? My girlfriend got me into them and it kinda stuck. I got some examples of my work under the cut.

As far as being outspoken...I'm not sure I'm that outspoken, or if I just say what's on my mind. Truth be told, RP as a hobby is something I kinda use to try and be better with socialization, because I'm not very good at it. I just wanna let people know that they got someone in their corner. I dunno, older I get, sometimes I think I should probably get off this site, but I stick around 'cause at the very least I know I can always show interest in people's stuff. Plus, doesn't hurt that I've made so many friends through this hobby either.

I can yap a lot, but truth be told, I just like listening to people, always have, always will. So, thank you again for the kind words, I know I gotta fuck off this saturday for my two week stint in minnesota but I'm always down to talk through IMs or hand out my discord!

My first edit here wasn't very good in my eyes and I'd love to go back and redo it. I've gotten progressively better with skintone in general, or at least I like to think so. Some pieces I'd love to go back and redo but I don't think I have all the original sources for 'em.

i can see it now: his brows raise, and he blinks a couple of times before he does, indeed, clack them together repeatedly. and then he claps them again for good measure, and he passes them right back to whoever gave them to him.

Gansey's heart tightens and curls in on itself watching Ronan smirk at Adam as he says something no doubt vulgar and distasteful. It's happiness, he tells himself sourly. His two best friends are finally getting along for once. Why shouldn't he be happy? "Adam, would you care to help me with this?" he says, a touch too curtly.

Adam's face drops from a repressed smile into something more neutral. "What is it?" he asks, already walking over. "More supernatural-sensing equipment? If it doesn’t work with one thing it's not going to work with something else, and then you're just wasting your money."

"If there's a chance," Gansey starts, then smoothly cuts himself off so they don't go down another spending-habits rabbit hole. "What was Ronan saying to you?"

"That you're trying to blow up the mountain with this," Adam says, eyeing the Pig's trunk. He turns that observant eye on Gansey. "Why? Are you jealous?"

There's a genuine curiosity, a hint of cockiness, and a bit of a smile in Adam's voice. Gansey shakes his head. "No, of course not," he says, perfectly level, but somehow Adam reads his thoughts behind it.

"Don't worry, I know Ronan's yours," he says casually.

Gansey wants to scream, or at least sigh at length. It's not you I'm jealous of, he thinks, or maybe, I'm jealous that I'm not in there with you. He wants Adam to be closer to him, he wants Ronan to be alright, he wants to find Glendower and he wants to keep hunting for the rest of his life. He's caught in a never-ending loop of searching, searching, and never seeming to land on something concrete.

Adam leans in slightly, his breath hot and humid against the gentle breeze. "You should reel him in."

Goosebumps prickle over Gansey's skin before he forces himself back into his head. "Fine."

I think your brand is, from beyond just val who is wonderful just the fact that you are objectively such a wonderful and kind person. There are of course the aesthetics that speak from themselves even when you were on your inquisitor but there is something about the kind words you've given me (and I can only assume others) for example about asharen. They do mean more than I could say. Still years on I remember theria and the wondeful writing you do. I am so glad to be able to be here and not only write with you but read your wonderful threads and headcanons!

i've read this about 500000 times now and i'm still just loading. i don't know why i always get to these nice things when i'm tired and out of words but i'm equally touched, more than i can say <333 i was actually commenting in a long, messy tag ramble to tas about the brain thoughts not being supportive (little monsters that they are), so seeing this again when going through the inbox was perfect timing to hit them/me over the head against the self struggle slump, and i want to paste this all over my blog, forever, for days like this especially (though, of course, it's always nice to hear, but something about being a bit down and reading all of this just hits???)

anyways, i hope you know this goes for you as well (exhibit a of sending kind words and you being the GOAT of kindness with amazing muses)!! i want you to know i have so many things in drafts of ours and i just re read your prose over and over and it's so good and so perfectly fits the character, i'm just awed again and again.

Anders is awake earlier than the Inquisitor, who lies still as death against his arm. The bruises from the night before ache like the tender marks on a stone-fruit; his neck, jaw, collarbones, anywhere the elf could've reached while buried in him. They throb as Anders gazes down at the man, knowing full well the moment his eyes open, he will slip out of the bed and demand Anders do the same ━ in so many words. In so many nicely concealed half-truths and thin-lipped lies.

But for now, the Inquisitor sleeps, curled up against him in his unconscious vulnerability and Anders relishes in that ━ fights off the urge to brush back the elf's hair to steal more secrets off his serene expression.

He hadn't noticed how tense the Inquisitor's face was until it relaxed in his sleep. That calm veneer of neutrality was painstakingly crafted, Anders realized only after seeing the where the true lines of his face fall. And though they spoke of little besides these carnal indulgences, Anders, perhaps unsurprisingly, found himself saddened by the farce the man was forced to live.

It couldn't have been easy, and Anders knows all about keeping the truth of oneself hidden in the safety of shadow.

He cannot do much for the Inquisitor. He is not a politically positive entity, after all, and his services to the Inquisition are already as taxing as his clinic had been.

So, perhaps this is all he can do; allow his arm to be the one place the Inquisitor can simply be Pirith.

Home is not a place for Pirth Lavellan, it has always been a people. A person.

In time the Inquisitor would remember this. Then there will be no point in denying that the only place his burdens ease is here in the mage's arms. Nor that the centering he feels has little to do with release and far more to do with the joy of being seen for who he is. To have someone touch him gently, to allow him to take what he needs for once and care for him without asking for a thing in turn still feels like greed he does not deserve.

He lets lets himself lay there longer than he actually sleeps. His eyes remain shut, his breathing slow and even. The warmth of Anders' arm seeps into his skin, makes him feel real in a way he has not in a long, long time.

But there is much to be done. And precious seconds of sanctuary are all he can afford.

He'll slip free of Anders' hold and dress. Engage him in light conversation about what he intends to do for the day, see if there is anything he can assist with, and then be off.
