Hey, i found out i have multiple sclerosis (the auto immune disorder that attacks the protective sheath surrounding ones neuropath way)
Just made the mistake of checking out charity's for MS it makes me angry every time, especially this time, because I've found there is such a big fuss made about it in America - which is absolutely fantastic - but here a lot of people still don't even know what it is. This really upsets me, because my Granddad Harold died when I was 15 from this terrible disease, after struggling with it for 30 years and I feel if he hadn't have had it, or more research had been done into it, he would still be here with me. And what's more is, as fantastic as the work the charity's do in this country is (and I know my Granddad thought so) it is so difficult to join, because I can't promise to give money to them all the time as I'm a student and to be honest starting to struggle for money, but I know I could put all my heart and soul into charity events and raising awareness, but I couldn't seem to find out how to join them in that way. Thinking about starting my own charity now, if only I knew how. I just want to add to this how amazing a person my Granddad was; he fought so hard to keep his life normal and to do everything he could for himself, even if he could be a little stubborn at times - but these are the times we can all laugh about now - and he never gave up. He will always be my inspiration and will be in my heart forever.
