Hello everyone, this is a blog dedicated to my dog because I believe she deserves it. Juno is my rescue mutt I adopted about a year ago, and her story of how she ended up in the shelter is bittersweet. She lived for two years as a stray on a nearby reservation, living off trash and dead livestock. But for about 2 months, an elementary school teacher observed her coming into the playground to play with the children. She said she watched her come in almost every day, and saw her gaurding over the children as a watchful Shepherd. Eventually the teacher caught her, bringing her to a rescue center off the reservation. She was only 40 pounds, starved and anemic, ear and skin infections, and scars all over. She stayed at the rescue for many months up until I adopted her. When I picked her up she still looked clearly underweight (50 lbs), ears crusted with scabs from flies, and knew absolutely nothing of training. I took one look at her and I wondered if she wasn't a black coyote from her appearance. She was a gross goblin dog, and I feel in love immediately. She now is a healthy weight, is trained on and off leash, knows all basic commands, including giving hugs! She is nothing but an angel, and I even have brought her in many times to our old folks residential home, and is always a huge hit. Children are her favorite thing in the world, but sadly some children are frightened by her appearance. As for her name, I picked Juno becouse it just seemed to fit. Anyway, I hope who ever actually read this far liked her story and likes her, she's a good girl indeed.
before and after I told her that she’s the prettiest little goblin lady (◕‿◕✿)
