Ooo...had to rack my brain for anything that could possibly be a hot take about this series lmao.

Hot take that a lot of the criticism surrounding the SP is about stuff that is actually super standard for literally any YA series that goes on for more than five books. Doesn't make the criticism non-valid, but that kind of stuff is everywhere a lot of the criticism I see kind of acts like it's a problem that is specific to SP when it is really, really not.

#a more fandom-wise hot take is that I think valduggery shippers get an unnecessary amount of hate #like isn't the whole point of the ship just an extension of the fact that their canon dynamic is fucked up #people are allowed to explore that without getting cyberbullied #and of course SP definitely has problems that ARE specific to it #but overall? it's actually a well-written YA series it's just gone on for long enough that cracks are showing in the writing #skulduggery pleasant #i am once again skulduggeryposting #mutual!#beige answers #some of the hate I see towards the writing or worldbuilding is like. have you SEEN the state of wings of fire rn #that's not even the longest one. what about like warriors #or anything else really

Hypothetically if you were a fictional character how would you imagine you would be seen by a hypothetical fandom?

For example I imagine myself to be some background extra but every single episode something about my design changes. Like one episode I dye my hair blonde, another I gain an eyepatch then i disappear for the rest of the series. Leading to some viewers to make wild theories about me secretly orchestrating the entire plot and I become known only for those theories. And my name in the credits would be BG school girl 9.

Huh...not sure on this one, I haven't thought of it. I'd assume I'd be the character they pick apart or call a sunshine baby but idk, I'll leave this up to people that know me lol

once I'm back in campus, if I'm ever taking with someone and fine out she's an ra, or she introduces herself as Allie or Aloe, I'm immediately listing as many names of the gods in Fateguard as I can remember on the spot in case it's you. If I remember. And can get past the social anxiety. And am awake enough to do so. Etc.

Half telling you this because I now know you're one of like 60 or so of the thousands(?) of people on campus and that's a comparatively really small group of people,,, and half because if I tell you now you'll know much more clearly what's going on if it is you and not this person you just met spontaneously saying random words one after another.
