The Ancients & "The Lower Ring"(A few brief notes, not to be mentioned directly in actual story/lore until much later, if decided to be mentioned)
-The Ancients once found in the human realm originate from this "lower ring", and may have escaped to a higher one in a flee from the void, or from their own ruler.
-Only these few were capable of doing so, as not all Ancients arecapable of inter-realm travel.
-The Ancients communed with the Dragons peacefully.
-After time of the Ancients' domain on the "human realm", their "fragments" were influenced by the further ring and were caused to "fragment"(though not breaking their own) into those that became humans.
-Similar appearances allowed the Ancients to identify with the humans, but noticeable differences created antagonization. The Ancients fleed to another ring as they were hunted by their own descendants, due to outnumbering. The dragons went into hiding as the humans began hunting them.
- "The Lower Ring" is still highly inhabited by more "Ancients" and the other creatures they live with. It runs on a specific hierarchy, ruled by a single "king".
- Need a name for the ancient race.
Information on the archdemons & the king below the break.
Paertha'anl and The Five Lords
(the Lords would be known by the humans as archdemons)
Paertha'anl The Ancient King
The lower ring is ruled by a single entity, whom commands the Five Lords that watch over the lands. Paertha'anl is a being from a ring lower than the Ancients' realm, and appeared in an escape from the void. All Ancients are weaker fragmentations of Paertha'anl's people, who are long gone, and it is unknown whether or not Paertha'anl was actually of higher power among his kind.
Paertha'anl entered the Ancient Realm, to find it ravaged by war among various small clans of their people. The entire realm was unruled and split into territories among these clans. Assaulted by many of the clans, Paertha'anl was forced to slay whoever antagonized him. Three of these clans took note of his power and pleaded peace with him, and were forced to unite in peace with each other. Moved by this, they suggested Paertha'anl attempt to unite the realm under one ruler, him.
Over time, Paertha'anl successfully asserted displays of his own power and spread the vision of unity among the Ancient people, under the ideal of them all being ruled under one power.
To aid in his hold of the realm, Paertha'anl forcefully fragmented five smaller copies of his own. These would be lesser to him by a slight, but more powerful than the Ancient peoples due to it being a direct fragmentation. His five "children" would be the true rulers of the lands, under his command.
They would be Warlord Kalfrath of Flames, Thaas of Recreation, Mythra of Twilight, Zalthras of Decay, and Pakaar of Age. The five lords and Paertha'anl would also carve out modern human magics, representing the main paths of fragmentation into humanity.
WarlordKalfrath
The first "Child" of Paertha'anl, Kalfrath was created with Paertha'anl's raw power. He obtained the title Kalfrath of Flames as he would incinerate any who oppose with devastating explosions or vast infernos. Kalfrath inherited his father's powers, along with his rage, which made Kalfrath quite temperamental. Kalfrath is the image of ancient magics, and elemental magics alike.
In the events of the invasion into the human realm, Kalfrath was the first of his siblings to pass through the portal. He would wreak the most devastation and stand as the leader of the invading army. Though opposed by his youngest sibling, Kalfrath would persuade them to open new portals for the other children to enter and take domain in the human world. His reasoning could be from a rage of the humans attempting to enter his world, to actually intending to carve a way for his people to escape the ever spreading void.
Kalfrath is slain by the Archmage Sumi, who also perishes in the fight. In Kalfrath's fragment's attempt to leave his body to rejoin Paertha'anl, Sumi's fragment supposedly collides with it, in an attempt to rejoin the closest fragment it has a relation to, or the very source of it's fragmentation: Kalfrath. The joining of the souls lead to the birth of Lady Samarra of Flames(war/chaos?).
Thaas of Recreation
The second "child", Thaas, was born with the ability to enchant, whether it be inanimate objects or people. He was deemed the title, Thaas of Recreation due to his expertise in creating one thing out of another. He was an expert craftsman and often enchanted his creations with various magical properties. He was in charge of created the legendary artifacts which some of the ancients used to enhance their abilities.
In the invasion of the human world, Thaas served as a sort of blacksmith for the lords and their troops. He would arm them adequately whilst taking shelter near his good brother Kalfrath. Thaas and Kalfrath had a close relationship, and Thaas would craft all of Kalfrath's arms under request, and Kalfrath would stand in the way of any who would attempt to antagonize Thaas. Thaas is the origin of most Aural magics, though he shares this with his younger sister.
Thaas is slain by Head Chief, Chi. Under the same circumstances as his previous sibling, Thaas and Chi's fragments are joined and lead to the birth of Lord Vienthi of Brimstone.
Mythra of Twilight
The third "child" of Paertha'anl, Mythra was born with the unique ability to drain those around her, and direct the drained energy elsewhere. She was given the name Mythra of Twilight, after the prison she encased herself in until she had control over her own power. The prison was an empty void, lack of anything with life, and empty of either light or darkness, created by her younger siblings. She had also found that she had the ability to take her own energies to create individual energies temporarily.
In the invasion of the human realm, Mythra actually entered last. Mythra did not partake in any direct combat until the last moments. Mythra served mostly a supportive role, aiding those who were in combat, or sending out temporary reinforcements. Mythra took domain on top of one of the church buildings.
Mythra is slain by the head bishop Dz. As is the circumstances with her precious siblings, Mythra and Dz join to create Lord Vaidakl of The Dawn.
Zalthras of Decay and Pakaar of Age
The fourth "child", Zalthras was given the ability to corrupt and "decay" his enemies, thus leading to his name. His younger sister, Pakaar also displayed this ability, however instead of decaying she appeared to age her targets. They were capable of creating connections between themselves and others, allowing them to allot energy forces between those connections, nearly the same effect of Mythra's abilities, but significantly different.
Eventually Zalthras and Pakaar noticed their significant similarities, and used their abilities to, essentially, re-join their fragments. This created the "fourth" Lord, Zalkath of Death.
In the invasion of the human realm, Zalkath actually took to hiding. He only engaged in combat when ordered or directly attacked, but even when attacked, he would give his best to attempt to escape. Zalkath opposed a forceful invasion into the ring, along with Mythra. Unlike Mythra, however, Zalkath was not necessary to various victories, and was not forced to participate quite as much.
Zalkath is confronted by the leaders of the Abyss Knights(aka The Order), Skoviezk and Mikhael, who try to speak sense to him. After refusal to cooperate, as he is bound to his siblings. Zalkath fells Skoviezk. After shock of Skovi's death, Mikhael enters a blind rage and deals mortal wounds to Zalkath, who in turn kills Mikhael. Knowing his time was running low, and not wanting to return to Paertha'anl, Zalkath marks both Skoviezk and Mikhael's fragments before they depart with his abilities. The compatibility of their fragments and the use of Zalkath's original powers caused his fragment to re-split.
Skoviezk's fragment is combined with Pakaar's, and Mikhael's with Zalthras's. The re-split fragment of the lord of death mixed with Skovi & Mikhaels', now capable of combining and splitting at will, birthed the Grimlords, Suvo and Kielle.
