Time Lapse of the Land Taken From Native Americans
via reddit
I will reblog this EVERY GODDAMN TIME so people can understand how the US government taking more and more land from Natives is nothing new (even the land originally promised after being kicked off their original, sacred lands) and they NEED to be fucking stopped. They need to be held accountable for the destruction of our people not just then but also now.
@i-add-sources do you know where we can read more about this? (Please and thank you!)

Fact: The greyed out east coat was also taken from indigenous people. It just happened earlier than this time lapse starts.

you gotta be able to say "die"
you gotta be able to say "suicide"
you gotta be able to talk about "sex"
they're uncomfortable topics, YEAH for SURE
because LIFE is uncomfortable. Death and suicide and sex and pain are straight up going to happen. not having words for the way it discomforts you doesn't make it more comfortable, it just makes you less able to reach out about it.
even more vital, you gotta be able to say words like "rape", "abuse", "queer" or "racist". cause we fought fucking hard to name those experiences. to identify "rape" as distinct from "sex" and "racism" as distinct from "acceptable behaviour" and "queer" as distinct from "invert"
like the function of communication is not to minimise immediate discomfort. we gotta be able to talk about stuff that's hard or sucks or causes difficult conversations.
This is what's so goddamn terrifying about the Internet slowly collapsing into the same 3-5 websites--if Facebook deprioritizes you for saying "sex" and TikTok shadowbans you for saying "suicide" and Twitter X locks your account for saying "racism" we've lost a lot more than just the culture of the old weird internet

in need of dgs/tgaa character ref sheets? i got you!!
i posted a thread of these on twitter quite a while ago but i only just realized i never posted to tumblr- so here you go! in this google drive folder you will find reference sheets like the one above for most of the characters in dgs, including wagahai and toby! it should be spoiler free unless you open the spoiler folder. i also have a folder of all of the character models i have ripped from the game so that anyone can open them in blender! i even have the model for the old bailey in there in case you need a reference for it! all of that said, i have not ripped every single model from the game, so if you have any requests for models/ref sheets that i haven't made yet, please let me know by DMing me either here on tumblr or on discord @/alaskanbullworm (i'm more likely to see it sooner on discord). unfortunately i am currently unable to rip the dlc costume models, as much as i wish i could. anyway, i hope these are helpful! :D
â So you want to learn pixel art? â
đč Part 1 of ??? - The Basics!
Hello, my name is Tofu and I'm a professional pixel artist. I have been supporting myself with freelance pixel art since 2020, when I was let go from my job during the pandemic.
My progress, from 2017 to 2024. IMO the only thing that really matters is time and effort, not some kind of natural talent for art.
This guide will not be comprehensive, as nobody should be expected to read allat. Instead I will lean heavily on my own experience, and share what worked for me, so take everything with a grain of salt. This is a guide, not a tutorial. Cheers!
this is a really great post for anyone wanting to get into pixel art! def give this a look over
We all know the fact that Naruhodou passed the bar exam to get the opportunity to face Mitsurugi in court.
This is all, as it seems at first glance, naive, a little retrospective, selfish, romantic, and so on. However, no matter how clinging to the past Naruhodou may seem, is he really that loyal and forgiving to his old childhood friend?
Nothing like that. Nah. Not a chance.
When Mitsurugi is first mentioned by Detective Itonoko in an office conversation in the Turnabout Sisters (jp. éè»ąć§ćŠč), we are given two answer options - first: Of course i don't know him, second: Of course, I know him.
If we choose the first option, the detective will tell us a little backstory about the prodigy prosecutor and express the opinion that it is strange that Naruhodou hasn't heard about him. To which Naruhodou will answer that he simply feigned ignorance and will express his opinion about the prosecutor in an internal monologue.
If we choose the second option, Naruhodou will loudly share his immodest conclusions about Mitsurugi, which will displease the detective.
Even the beginning of the meeting is accompanied by Naruhodouâs thoughts that he must not relax and show weakness, otherwise Mitsurugi will swallow him alive.
From the very beginning, Naruhodou isn't in the mood to play on emotions and press on pity, instead preparing himself for the worst.
He understands that time spent together in childhood is not an argument or a reason to start a conversation.
The entire court hearing is accompanied by Naruhodou's evaluative comments about Mitsurugi - he curses him, out loud questions some of the actions of the prosecutor (updated autopsy report), calls and interrogates inconvenient witnesses for the prosecution (Mitsurugi doesn't want me to question the witness, but I don't care), answers him with the same barbs (Wasn't it you who told me "proof is everything"? Well, I was listening.), denounces the collusion of the prosecution with the witnesses, protests against the postponement of the hearings in order to prevent manipulation of the evidence, in general, by any means, unbalances Mitsurugi.
He is literally: Is there something you donât like? I don't care.
In the next case - Turnabout Samurai (jp. éè»ąăźăăă”ăăł), Detective Itonoko is angry at Naruhodou for upsetting the prosecutor, but his response is not remorseful: "Umm... so?"
During the first day of the hearing, Naruhodou literally laughs at the confrontation between the prosecution and his own witness ("Wow, old windbag has left even Mitsurugi speechless. She's good!" or "Mitsurugi found himself a worthy opponent"). He also sincerely doesn't understand why Mitsurugiâs behavior has changed, and he seems out of place, but he doesn't stop creating problems for the prosecution.
He doesn't soften towards him until the Turnabout Goodbyes (jp. éè»ąăăăăŠă”ăšăă©), in which Mitsurugi becomes his client, and even later, when they begin to build a trusting relationship, Naruhodou does not make concessions for Mitsurugi and does not bend under his pressure.
So, Naruhodou did pass a very difficult exam to gain access to the courtroom, but he essentially created a hopeless situation for Mitsurugi. In the conditions of the court hearing, the prosecutor had no other chance than to listen to the arguments of the defense. Naruhodou may not have addressed Mitsurugi directly at first, saying that his ideology was terrible, but he did, proving with his words and actions right in the halls of the law that this is not how things are done and there is a limit to cruelty. He calmly used the letter of the law and jurisprudence - the language that Mitsurugi respects and lives by.
Defeat your opponent with his own weapon when you think he is wrong.
Naruhodou is a stubborn, purposeful, and quite strict person of character who lives without regrets, takes big risks, and doesn't allow himself to relax in any difficult situation.
He is gorgeous.
P.S. I donât have some screenshots from the court and from the office because I donât have the English version of the game, and in the video the author did not check all the options (I donât blame the author, thank her for screenrecord)

Listen, i am a narumitsu/wrightworth enjoyer through and through, and i too, like to joke about the queer readings of edgeworthâs lines a lot. BUT i feel like that often overshadows the depths of his character and his growth throughout the series (mainly the main trilogy).
Edgeworth is a deeply troubled and traumatized man who suddenly has to reconsider his entire life and moral values (partly) because of things Phoenix has brought to light.
By centering edgeworthâs interpreted feelings towards phoenix when portraying him, we completely flatten his character and forget the nuance.
To me the way his relation to Wright changes over the trilogy reflects a deep range of feelings that shouldnât just be watered down to âhehe gayâ
And that nuance *can* exist in a romantic interpretation, but we need to remember to keep that character arc and that nuance.
Edgeworth in a robe
Enjoy, Phoenix
"A Magician never reveals her secrets!" is the rule but Trucy's family has always been completely made up of other magicians. They've taught her all she knows, cards and throwing knives and sawing people in half and how to smile no matter what. So she may call Phoenix 'daddy' pretty much immediately but when she starts really thinking about him as her family is when she starts to teach him some magic.
She can tell that he's already a bit of a performer as well, his false smiles are practiced and perfected, he appreciates some theatrics, he knows the security that comes with an act. He's her father now, so she teaches him some sleight of hand and how to throw knives so he stops coming back from work all bruised from a card game gone wrong.
Just... the Wrights being a completely in-sync duo who above all, are performers, acting out the life they want others to think that they have. They have smiling iron masks that can only be seen through by each other and they're all each other has.
Phoenix didn't adopt Apollo when he figured out his parentage, no, he figured it was too late when Trucy started making him her magical assistant.
