FB hosted pictures vs outside hosted pictures
Is there any data for clicks on FB hosted pictures vs picture links or posts from apps?
Clicking on a FB hosted picture
It pops up an overlay screen. Access back to newsfeed is easy.
Clicking on other stuff (this example is muzy.com)
It opens a brand new tab and brings me away from newsfeed. For Muzy, I'd have to perform an additional click to view the picture. Then click back on FB's tab to return. So much trouble.
I imagine I'm not the only one who is more likely to view FB hosted pictures; even if the same exact picture was simply hosted elsewhere I'd probably think about it before I click - it just feels like such an interruption when a new window opens!
