@mvnlyn initiated a fight with hye.
“you’re possibly the only person younger than i am. an’ that’s shockin’. look at you. goin’ out for your ambitions an’ shit.” she scoffs, taking a drag on her cigarette. the moment an idol clashed with someone like her, it was a bittersweet moment. hyejung was one of those people who would pursue their dreams quietly. it was for the people who don’t believe in her, to show that she’s worth it and is capable of doing the same things that successful people are capable of. of course, one of them wasn’t being an idol but the people around her were successful. didn’t that mean something? not everyone was a lunatic like hyejung.
not everyone her age was as bad as hyejung, either.
take haelyn. they’re only a few months apart but she’s far off into another world than hyejung. it’s like romeo and juliet between the two without the romantic scenes. “glad y’can catch a break an’ chit chat with me. although i wouldn’t have thought that anybody wanted to.” hyejung takes another drag before exhaling the smoke into the sky. usually it was hyejung who asked for people to hang with her and the people would either feel obligated to say yes so that hyejung wouldn’t break their bones or they said no because they didn’t want their bones broken. there were people that didn’t even think about it, but that’s how her social life revolved.
it sounded like a charity case at times, but hyejung knew her worth. she knew that she had friends because of what she has to offer on the table, which is to just be mutual. there wasn’t much that she could offer. there was no money for people to chase after nor was their valuable possessions that hyejung had and other people wanted. it was just her and her pessimistic self-- and people were okay with that.
she finishes the cigarette and pushes the lit end into the ash tray. flicking the cigarette into the trashcan, she turns around to face the other. she laughs softly while throwing her hands into her pockets and swaying from side to side.
“so. tell me. how’s the idol life? i wouldn’t know.”
