“I got asked if I was Lady Daredevil today.”
It had been laughable, really. Maybe some would have been offended by the blatant misogyny, but Elektra had spent her life sharpening her sai’s against sexism. Matt had been Daredevil first; it was his legacy that Elektra was adding to. She wore the mantle with pride and the D on her chest encouraged Elektra to be better than she had been before. Really, it was impressive how far she had come. Pulling the cork from the bottle, Elektra evenly poured two glasses of the Merlot. Her hand found Matt’s as she wrapped his fingers around the stem. He was self-sufficient and could do without her, but Elektra had grown from a touch starved girl into a woman who lived for physical moments -- be it violent or intimate.
“Cheers, Matthew, to another day out of jail and on the streets. To being Daredevil. Together.”
