Prompt: i'm really amazed with your kind of writing... and, well :)) Take that (spoilers TMI 5#): A prompt, describing malec trip, including the typical dresses that Magnus wore in every country!
Placed: in their vacation between CoG and CoFA
Author’s Note: I’mso sorry!! I’ve written this a long time ago and I really wanted to write something for every country but I’ve written so much for their vacation already that I really don’t have any more ideas so i hope it’s okay if it’s only two countries. I also really want to get this blog more active again so I’ll try to stick with short one-shots. Hope you enjoy this.
"Tadah!" Magnus sang as he was finished dressing and presented himself to Alec, posing for his boyfriend so he could judge the final result.
"Oh whow." escaped through Alec's lips, his eyes widening as he looked at his boyfriend wearing a green-yellow Sari that fell in glittery layers around Magnus's body.
"You like it?" the warlock smiled, his whole face lightened up.
"Whow." Alec repeated, lost for any more words. He never knew what to say in the first place but being unsuspected surprised didn't help his sentences in the least. When Magnus had said he would dress appropiate to the country, Alec had imagined his boyfriend would dress similiarly to the men they had met so far on India's streets but not this.
"Isn't that a woman's dress?" he inquired.
"So?" Magnus lifted an eyebrow, the smile remaining where it was. Gracefully, he walked over to Alec, the thin material swinging softly to the movement of his hips and Alec wondered why he didn't trip in the floor-long clothes. "The only thing that truly matters in fashion is whether it suits me or not."
Having a fashion sense that tends to zero, Alec didn't know if he could or should argue with that. He knew that he didn't want to, so he just shrugged his shoulders. If Magnus was happy, then Alec is fine with everything he is wearing.
"So?" Magnus drawled the o out as long as his breath allowed him to.
"What?" Alec asked, confused. Did he miss anything?
"You still haven't told me if you like it."
Right. Alec had only approved of the outfit in his mind.
"You know how you look." Alec then mocked, smiling. "You just want attention."
"You caught me, officer." defeated, Magnus held out his wrists for Alec to put handcuffs on.
Laughing, Alec took another good look at his boyfriend, his eyes tracking the way the layers fold over each other and how the glitter sparkled in the light. He could probably construct a lie, telling Magnus how much he liked the way the silky fabric hugged Magnus's shoulders or some fashion fragments his brain digged up from listening to Izzy. But Magnus wouldn't buy that, anyway, so why trying? Not even Alec himself would buy that. However, when Alec's gaze went up to the warlock's face again he noticed something that must be caused by the sari. Something he saw without understanding the rest.
"It brings out your eyes." Alec observed. The cat eyes seemed more rich in color, the green gleaming with a mixture of kindness and danger.
"I take that as a compliment." With Magnus's smile, his eyes were more kind than dangerous, though.
"It was meant to be one."
"Thank you" Magnus whispered leaning down to peck Alec's lips in gratitude. "Ready for sightseeing?"
Alec interwined his hand with Magnus's. "Since an hour."
"Come on. It didn't took me that long."
Magnus seemed to think about that for a second. "Well, you can help me get out of it tonight."
Alec frowned, his eyes tracing over his boyfriend's body again. "I don't even know where this starts. Or ends."
"I'll show you." Magnus winked.
"Are you sure really sure you didn't want a pair?" Magnus asked for what must be the fifth time today.
"I'm sure." Alec answered the same amount of times.
"They would have looked so great on you."
"I'm happy with my jeans."
"Too bad." Magnus sighed, hooking his fingers into the pair of suspenders of his brown Lederhosen. They were standing at a subway station in Munich and were on their way to a Biergarten, which Alec had never heard of before so he didn't know what to expect. He just hoped he could survive there without this weird pants Magnus was wearing. At least he could talk him out of that ridiculous hat he wanted to wear as well.
"We could have had matching outfits."
Alec snorted, his eyes widening somewhat horrified. "The day we'll wear matching outfits will never come."
"Don't be so pessimistic." Magnus scolded.
"I'm optimistic." Alec defended, his head slightly shaking. In every country they had visited, Magnus would try to choose clothes for Alec, mostly something that was traditional in some way. But even though Magnus explained the tradition of the clothes and why he was wearing them solely here and not in New York, Alec was uncomfortable wearing them because he would stand out to much. Just because the clothes were traditinal, doesn't mean everybody in the country was wearing them.
The warlock's answer was drowned by the loud shriek the subway screamed as it rolled into the station. Since they were talking about clothes, Alec didn't let Magnus repeat the question and hoped to change the subject quickly. But no such luck.
"You know." Magnus said, sitting down in front of Alec on the train. "One day I get you into something else than gear or jeans."
"I highly doubt that." Alec smiled.
Magnus smiled back, mischievously. He had yet to surpise his boyfriend with two opera tickets he got for their next destination in Vienna. There was no way, he could go in jeans then.
