thinking about the fact that ghost definitely cared about his team and his team definitely cared about him but like in actual canon i doubt they’d even know his name because of the whole being framed for murdering his family and being all over the news thing………. unless shepherd did something to give him like a new identity eh idk there’s pretty much nothing on him after the comics we have like zero way of even being able to make an estimated guess (unlike other plot holes in the series)

this feels weirdly intimate though in a way like imagining having such strong comraderie and trust with someone not even knowing their name or face… og 141 i miss you 4eva idk what this ramble is but yeah…

Hello! I have a military question for you: I'm currently reading the MW2 Ghost comic, and there was a bit I couldn't make sense of.

In issue #1 Riley is talking to Major Vernon about the upcoming mission to take down Roba. Vernon tells Riley he's needed because he's the only one Vernon can trust.

Riley asks him "In the group? Or higher?"

Vernon replies, "Could be both. There were things only I knew through command, but I audibled the whole P.O.A., and they were still waiting on us.”"

Do you have any idea what he meant by 'audibled' and 'P.O.A."? I'm not familiar with either term, and Google keeps suggesting Amazon books and Power of Attorney. 🙄

To "audible" a situation or "call an audible" is to make a last minute decision based on available information, which is a football (U.S.) concept that translated into usage in the U.S. military.

P.O.A. can mean a few things. In the UK it means Programme of Action. I don't know why the writers would use this acronym in comic book dialogue because it seems stilted, but that's another discussion.

Vernon made last minute changes to orders (originally issued through CoC) but unit movements were still anticipated, indicating he has an intel leak.
