Nightmares

synopsis: the fear lingered over her day in and day out, but she couldn’t tell the guys, they’d see her as weak. she let it build up more and more until she just...broke.

Shownu sleepily shut the fridge after getting his drink. He tried to wrap his head around how to make the others see that Haewon was trying her best. The situation in which she was added wasn’t ideal, but this was their reality now.

He sat at the counter, sipping his cup, as the over glowed 3:00 in the darkness.

Once done, he left the glass on the sink and returned to his new room.

As he passed the girl’s room, he was stopped by the sound of something being knocked over and a small cry. Against his better judgement, he went to open the door and was surprised to find it unlocked. His eyes widened at the sight he saw.

Haewon was tossing and turning in her bed, an action which caused various items to fall off her nightstand. It looked as if she was trying to shake someone off.

Shownu wanted to leave, feeling as if he didn’t have the right to interfere, but was convinced when he saw her start to cry.

“Haewon,” he said, gently. Shownu knelt at her bedside and carefully placed his hands on her arms. “Haewon, wake up.”

Her flailing grew more frantic.

Hoisting his body on to the bed, Shownu pulled Haewon into his arms and locked her own in place. He rocked her back and forth as he hoped to alleviate the nightmare. 

The girl’s eyes shot open upon realizing that he was there. Haewon clung to the eldest member as she realized where she was.

"I’ve got you. It’s okay,” he assured her.

“Wanna talk about it?” She shook her head. “Do you want me to stay here?” She nodded. “Okay.”

Kihyun checked every room but one to find the leader. Taking a breath, he opened Haewon’s door to a sweet sight.

The girl had her head resting on Shownu’s shoulder as he held her close. The tear tracks were still evident on her face.

With a sigh, Kihyun closed the door and let them be.

synopsis: It’s Shownu’s birthday and if you think Haewon is gonna let that pass with no celebration, you are wrong.

Haewon knocked on Shownu’s door. Repeatedly and non-stop until he opened the door. She smiled up at him, her hands held behind her back.

“Can I help you?” He raised an eyebrow in confusion. Haewon pulled her hands from behind her back and held up a single cupcake. “Keeping the tradition alive, I see.” He took the cupcake from her and messed up her hair. “You make this one yourself?”

“I did,” she said. “I made extras but SOMEONE seemed to forget what day it was, and ate the extras.”

“I’m sorry!” Changkyun yelled from the living room.

“Sorry ain’t bring the cupcakes back!” She yelled in return before looking back up at Shownu. “Happy birthday!”
