Should we type mic’s? Ok. Fine. You got me thinking about them. Pictured is a pop filter I bought today on Amazon. The one that came with my recording mic, also pictured (MXL990) is steel and has collected tons of spit, vomit, and bile over the years to the point where looking at it makes me think I’m going to catch something. We’re typing mic’s so let me tell you about the MXL. It’s alright. It’s a powered mic good at picking up high and mid range vocals. Of course, Shure Microphones generally set the standard, and the MXL really can’t compete with the upwards of $400 Shure sm7b cardioid dynamic. I don’t have one. I just know about them because I enjoy torturing myself. Finally, I have a Shure SM58, which is pretty much the standard mic for live vocalists. It’s a thankfully affordable piece of gear that is one directional, meaning it does its darndest not to pick up external noises.
new mic is ready
it is good for screamy
i didn’t know what to put as the album art so have a picture of a Zaxby’s TexasToGo
MXL 990 condenser microphone pro-tip: If there’s a metal strip running across the top and the sides of the microphone, you probably shouldn’t be singing into that part of it.
C’mon FNC Entertainment production team, get your act together!
Catchy song, though! Kudos CNBLUE!
Have all my equipment picked out to start recording.
Avid Recording Studio $120 MXL 990 Condenser Microphone $80 E-Mu USB MIDI Interface $30 Musician's Gear Pop Filter $20

HOLY SHIT. I'll only have about $200 by next week. If I get paid. Now I have no idea what if I'm getting anything for graduation so maybe that will help too. Going with $200 leaves me only able to get the Avid Recording Studio & E-Mu USB MIDI Interface for $150 cause Avid Recording Studio & MXL 990 Condenser Microphone at $200 cost an extra $17 in tax. Stupid taxes. I would bitch more but I understand they're necessary. I need money. And soon. I have to start recording soon if I want this project done before summer is over.
