As far as Aria was concerned, Theo Roberts was an enigma. An attractive enigma, but an enigma nonetheless. There were just a handful of things she knew about him -- that he was some sort of medical professional, that he appeared to be the broody type, and that he’d once dated her best friend. Maybe that fact alone should have kept her from flirting with him, but Aria had always found it difficult to turn off that part of herself. She’d honed it until it had become her entire entity. “So,” Aria began, one hand resting against his chest, “is tall, dark, and handsome something that you do on purpose or is it just a happy coincidence?”

“I always think I’m going to try a new flavor. Then,” Cassidy shrugged. They’d spent an entire ten minutes debating over which flavor they’d choose. With fifty flavors to offer, Schoops was an overwhelming experience for someone who struggled to make a decision, and ultimately, she’d settled on her usual -- chocolate lovers in a waffle cone. “Same as always,” she continued. “Can’t really go wrong with chocolate.” Cone in hand, Cassidy made their way to a corner table; it was out of the way enough that she and Emira could chat without being interrupted while still being close enough to the front windows so that they could both bask in the summertime sunshine. “Soooo....” The word streamed from Cassidy’s lips, more syllables than necessary. “I hear a certain big bad’s back in town. How’s that going?”
