x ♫ - AL NIENTE; If there were anyone else aware of where Leah had been prior to returning to Slateport City, they would certainly consider it a retreat more than anything. Just because there had been some difficult situations she had gone through upon leaving said city and it had been the chosen destination due to it being the only place where she had not been put in any sort of danger, did not mean that... Alright, it was definitely a retreat. But one made not senselessly, seeing that said destination appeared to have invoked yet another one of her notions-- something in regards taking a ship to... somewhere. Granted, it was a rather vague lead to go on, but it was a risk she ( and in extension, Eevee ) was more willing to take since it did not involve Pokemon.
Said Eevee was ironically enough, deep in thought-- though not to the extent that it was in a daze much like a certain someone. Having chosen to follow this human in the beginning had been a decision made upon seeing how lost and dazed she had been, and then when she started crying; it was done out of what seemed to be a mixture of protectiveness and pity. But the ocassional insights she had changed its initial impression of her somewhat, seeming as though she was not quite the dazed, ignorant person that she had appeared to be. It made him want to continue being by her side, though there was a sense that if she was left alone, she might end up in even more precarious situations.
Like taking care of a child. Times where an intervention was necessary was a worryingly high number, certain insights that she had only helping put her in more danger. It really was akin to a parent pushing their child away from danger over and over again, and its want to protect her only grew stronger each time. Stubbornly refusing to follow Leah at first, which was much like potentially walking straight into danger in Eevee’s perspective, it eventually relented and was now trotting behind her. There was a particular ship out of the ones that were docked at the pier that she felt inclined to go to, and the Pokemon decided to humor her by following along, seeing that she may very just end up wandering into the--
SPLASH!
... Ocean, by accident. It was somewhat of a surprise that she had not fallen in on her own, seeing that there had been a startled yelp preceding the splash, along with a person that was where she had been standing. A collision of sorts, it appeared to be, though it was unfortunate that Leah had been more on the receiving end of it, seeing that she was now in the water. Both Leah and Eevee’s gaze were averted to the other party of the collision, being of a pair similar to them: their reactions to realizing as such are vastly different. Eevee remained where it was, though ready to jump into the water lest Leah appeared to not know how to swim ( to which, it would certainly not be surprised if she did not ), while Leah, still very much in the water spoke: “ I-I’m so sorry! Are you o-okay? ”
Exasperated. No, it was beyond exasperation at this point. This human was hopeless, to say the least, apologizing when she was the one that had ended up in the water. Her apology was followed by a sneeze as well, most likely the result of feeling cold from now being drenched in water. Clearly, if there was anything that made Eevee think it ought to continue being by her side... this was a definite example of why. Now, if the other human did not apologize in this situation, it would have half the mind to be the one to express annoyance in Leah’s place.
