So this is I thing I built. 

I needed a project to test my carpentry abilities on, since I might need to rely on them pretty soon. Also I needed a nightstand. 

So the test was mostly successful- there are a few flaws on this where I screwed up the sanding, and the drawer sticks pretty badly, but overall I'm  pretty satisfied with it. The finish is nice, the wood stained well, and it's sturdy as all get out. 

I need to make more things, woodworking is fun.

It's raining again, and the sun is down.

The sun and the clouds have fallen to gravity

and the earth is cold, wet,

Haha oh man this was a good night.  I somehow managed to successfully push some friends into doing something I knew they'd enjoy, and everyone had a good time! Also I spent like an hour looking for a car that was misplaced?  We never did find it which is a shame..

Whittle

She sits, and plucks 

the knife's edge gently, 

then she holds the wood to eye 

level.

It is perfect, but uneven and 

requiring of a gentle hand.

She sets her thumb in gentle 

opposition to the blade on 

the wood.

Pressure- very slight- will bring them 

to a kiss.
