Favorite sort of au for a fandom and why?

Time and time again, I will always want to do some kind of "modern au" in any capacity. I adore fantasy and will enjoy some of those fantastical settings, but usually I want to see them grounded into what is relatable to me. Growing up in small towns, having messy relationships and families, but seeing how they exist in those worlds and watch them flourish in such homey, down to earth ways.

Other fav media outside of Final Fantasy?

Definitely! Dungeons & Dragons, some Harvest Moon games, Splatoon, Ace Attorney...

In my pinned post I have a list of media I like that I'm willing to draw/write, but I tend to hyperfixate HARD on one thing and stick to that until I've had my fill.
