My dog Tobias passed away. He was diagnosed with cancer last week, vet said that even with treatments or amputations, his life was not going to be comfortable at all, and we didn’t want him to suffer anymore.
Tobi was my very first dog. He joined my family since he was just a 1 month old puppy. It feels really weird and devastating losing him all of a sudden. What it’s more frustrating, is that I couldn’t be with him since I officialy moved to Chile 3 years ago, and due to Covid and flight restrictions, it was impossible for me for at least see him and pet him one last time before the diagnosis. Fortunately, my parents and siblings gave him all the love he deserved and made him company until his last breath.
I was curious to know if he could still recognize me when I would finally be able to go to Colombia, but I will only find his ashes inside a box... That thought is breaking me inside, this is my only way to say goodbye. I know these things are inevitable, but it’s really hard to accept he’s gone... I’ll miss him a lot.
