Today I thought "well maybe I ought to have a main unifying tag on stuff" and I went back through all my reblogs and tagged a bunch of stuff with #my ethos because ... well, they absolutely represent "my beliefs and aspirations" and Y'KNOW WHY NOT.

Why not have a single grand unified tag I mark for "it's me" or "oh yeah I relate"? Other people do it. I am learning to tumblr. Very, very slowly. But I learn.

Why are you so polite? I've seen a lot of people being rude on the internet, but not you. Is there a particular reason why you're always so civilised, calm and polite? I almost get a "retail worker" vibe off some your posts, in a good way!

This is going to sound corny but I genuinely believe that you should treat people as you’d like to be treated yourself. So I do my best to be courteous and kind, keep an open mind and give people the benefit of the doubt. 

I do tend to operate a two strikes and you’re out policy on here, though, so if someone is repeatedly rude or unpleasant I simply refuse to continue communicating. I also try not to come on here when I’m tired or my fuse is particularly short because you can’t see who is on the other side of the screen and I worry that snapping at someone just because I’ve had a bad day might just be the straw that breaks the camel’s back for the person being snapped at.

I have never actually worked in retail (unless a few stints at waitressing as a teenager counts as retail?) but I’m thinking that I like giving off that sort of vibe :)
