This is probably my least romantic AU idea but like

The idea of Bakugou going through a Yume Nikki esque dreamscape and exploring his thoughts and feelings concerning his treatment of Deku, heroism, and his own personal mess, especially after Deku v Kacchan 2, is fascinating to me.

Chasers resembling a half-melted, beaten down Deku.

Others resembling a mixture of his mother and himself.

Surreal images that depict a fear of confinement, insecurity, and a shaky feeling of self worth.

Deku and All Might being symbols of both comfort and regret.

Just. I want to get weird and possibly include gay feelings, but mostly just see Kacchan explore himself and visualize his trauma in interesting ways.

Because of Bakugou’s recent outfit change, I assert that he is a secret Metal Gear Solid stan, and nothing can convince me otherwise. 

And he might own a custom FucKonami T-shirt in honor of Kojima leaving the company and Konami being just overall shit.

And Deku is his Otakon.

Me: I relate to and sympathize with Bakugou a lot. Specifically because a lot of his mess (inferiority complex, overinflated pride due to being praised for the tiniest shit, need to be the best, anger, mistaking compassion / admiration for condescension, etc) is very similar to a lot of the inner demons I've wrestled with for years.

RL friend who spouts anti rhetoric: But, but Jen! You weren't mean to anyone! I think you're just being overly harsh on yourself :)

Ugh, feeling sick today. I think I’ll binge-read fic and wrap myself up in a blanket after work today. Or I might just wrap up and play some Yume Nikki with some tea and blankets. While thinking of inevitable fandom bullshit, because I always do. (IS there any work that crosses over or AUs Yume Nikki with BNHA? Because I’d love to see Madotsuki!Baku, specifically due to the implication that Madotsuki is afraid of being confined and judged, which I can see Baku -- especially older Baku -- having a huge problem with. Sports festival and kidnapping arc, anyone?)
