hm. thinking about culture. thinking about how much i want it. how much i want to be a part of it. thinking about how i might have to eventually sever my roots because they way it is now, i cannot find see myself being openly queer and also a part of the community here. thinking about how much i want to share it with my friends. 

i miss it. i miss not knowing about any of the stuff going on, just being a kid. what i wouldn’t do to be celebrating eid at age 10 again. everything’s different now.
