Aaaaa I'm like 5'2, my tiny ass wouldn't even reach Dusk's iliac crest! How dare with these gorgeous size differences!! ♡♡♡
I’m wheezing at all these size differences, because big same and also Dusk will absolutely just... pluck you up and hold you, there, safe and visible, off you go~
°˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° listen, fur-lined cape-jackets are just Quality Fashion, I don’t make the rules--
(seriously though thank you, I’m so happy you like her ;v;)
Oh, that was briefly touched on at the very end of Dusk’s introductory post- I should probably go back and make it a little more clear, but to sum up:
When she was dragged to this timeline, she was in the middle of disarming a truly horror-scene kind of bear trap laid for her sister. (like, jagged bits of saw and sharpened bone and metal, and way bigger than a normal bear trap). It threw her, of course, and she ended up with her leg caught in it- but it was so strong and horrible, it... all but cut her leg off (it was latched just below the knee).
Reader came in, helped her get out (and cue the related drama), but also -it was set to the side, but had jagged bits extruding - and so, when Dusk fell while automatically scrambling to her feet when the other’s arrived, Reader’s leg got slashed on it.
Etc etc, the rest of the scene, tensions ease, but Reader passes out from blood loss/general ‘oh fuck my leg’s been slashed open’. She really does need medical care & fast, but Dusk won’t let her go - and instead it’s communicated that she insists on going with them in the shortcut (they’re like, a 45 minute walk away, otherwise). Even though the other’s try to get across that taking her through the void shortcut with them might dash any chance of her leg recovering, Blade doesn’t back down.
So they shortcut with her, and the like, 10% chance they might’ve been able to heal her leg was dashed. No more lower left leg, bc Dusk wasn’t going to let you out of her sight, and took the risk (and she did understand it - she used to be able to shortcut too, after all. But she deemed it was unlikely she could keep her leg anyways, and with you in that condition... well. She prioritized.)
