It was sunset, and the sky was fading from a beautiful shade of purple to a bright orange. The sun was setting slowly, while big fluffy clouds floated along the sky.
When she woke up it was deep into the night. The full moon was at its peak. How long did she sleep? Wait… full moon? Before, it was a crescent moon surrounded by clouds. Now, it was a bright full moon shining brighter than any moon she's seen, with no clouds in sight. Had she dreamed of the crescent moon? Her confusion made it clear she had not dreamed of the moon. It wasn’t until she heard the calm water rushing from the wide river next to her, that’s when she realized that she was no longer by her home, instead she was in a lush forest filled with tall oak trees towering over her.
As she looked at her surroundings, she felt dread crawl under her skin. Her heart began racing as she was thinking the worst, had she been kidnapped?
Her mind began aimlessly wandering and racing, lost in her thoughts as she heard a voice calling out through the forest.

For context, it came out during a time when I was mostly reading…
