THOUGHTS ON YASAMMY

JWCC: Season 5 Ep. 7 - "I've had crushes on boys before so, I know what that's like, but I think I might feel that way about Sammy." - Yasmina Fadoula

JWCC: Season 5 Ep. 9 - "The truth is Sammy, I've fallen for you.. like hard.. real hard..." - Yasmina Fadoula

I never officially said this (at least on here before) but I love how initially when Yaz was understanding her feelings for Sammy, they gradually went from a crush to full on fallen for her. Like internally she knew it was always love. When she first figured it out, as to not overwhelm herself, she said it was just a crush but deep down she knew it was more than that, and it didn't take long for her to vocalize that to Sammy.

I think we all agree we wish we could've seen Sammy's pov of everything. Especially since she doesn't even know how long she's felt that way. Maybe it was a love at first sight kinda thing. Or maybe it was after she saw how much Yaz was willing to defend her against Brooklynn about the whole phone thing. Or maybe it was when Yaz didn't think twice about saving Sammy, the first time that happened or even the second time. Who knows not even Sammy does.

And after everything they've been through it all leads up to them getting together. Like canonically ending up as a couple 🥹😭.

But... with that said we do end up missing the entirety of their relationship. The first dates, the first actual spoken "I love yous," and other firsts that happen in a relationship 😉 (😜 kidding this is a kid's show.)

So while we miss all that, another ship that was broken up upon entering jwct, they at least got a flashback and an old video of a happy couple moment. We didn't get any of that for Yasammy. The flashbacks we did get of them, they weren't even together physically. On top of that, a more recently established couple will probably get to say their I love you's on screen. Hell they almost did already! Not to mention the number of kisses they've already gotten! (😒 bombastic side eye to the writers)

But let me review real quick what we've gotten so far in jwct.

In the 1st season it takes 6 episodes to even see Yaz and Sammy in the same frame together. And yes we did get two kisses and yes we got Yaz threatening and distracting an atrociraptor trusting Sammy to tranq it. Not to mention Yaz's "My girl" 😭. But they stopped them from an epic make out with explosions behind them scene 😩.

Onto season 2 where they don't even get into the same boat together. Yes they're all camp fam and that's okay Yasammy doesn't need to be together 24/7 but I personally wanted them in the same boat (call me greedy.) However, we did get Sammy cursing everybody out (in my head) to hurry up and go back to get Yaz. But when they get her and they're about to hug they get interrupted 😞. But then they do hug! But they only hugged 😩 (again call me greedy.) And that's about it for season 2.

Then we have season 3 of just constant fighting. Yes we did get pet names finally but they were used during arguments. And whether those arguments were out of character or not, I will say this though... season 4 jwcc a similar thing happen when Yaz was projecting her feelings onto Sammy & Brooklynn. Sammy even told Yaz that she was mad at her and Brooklynn too saying that "telling us how to feel or what to do isn't helping" which is basically what Yaz was doing with Sammy this season. But do you remember what happened back then? Yaz apologized all but 2 minutes later, letting them know that she only had their best interest at heart. Then do you remember what happened next?? Sammy hugs her and forgives her! They made up immediately. And you all remember what happened next with Yaz's famous words of having feelings because of Sammy 😭.

Anyway... I guess 6 years into a relationship isn't always going to be as easy as it was before but... just saying though they had a similar conflict before and they communicated through it.

Ughsksj I just want more. More Yasammy, more happy Yasammy, more being an actual couple Yasammy. An episode just them away from the camp fam. They had their own room this season but we didn't get to see a parallel scene to that of jwcc season 4. (imagine them talking it out and falling asleep facing each other bc they probably wouldn't let them cuddle in the show 😭)

I just feel like this break up (if they had to absolutely break them up) could've happened in season 1. Keep them together during the time jump as they did, but they could've put the fight at the end of season 1. That way we have all the awkwardness, moping, and yearning in season 2. Then we would've gotten the reconciliation in season 3 which would've left us with 1 if not 2 full seasons of happy, domestic Yasammy. That would've perfectly led to an engagement early season 5 with a time jump wedding scene at the end of it like they did with jwcc.

oikawa is far away in argentina and you had a fun night out with hanamaki and matsukawa. iwaizumi came later in that night; to be a designated driver really. god knows hiro and issei are light weights when it comes to you. meaning, they do handle their alcohol pretty well but you keep handing them drink after drink and soon enough they are goners. they can never say no to their pretty girl. how does iwa get wrapped in this you ask?

oh, he receives a call from you at 2am, words a little slurred bc you just had a tad bit to drink,maybe a little too much. hajime’s slumber quickly starts to disappear as he’s very concerned about you being alone in that state. you tell him on the contrary, you have your two big, very intimidating boyfriends with you. iwazumi urges you to pass the phone to anyone of them but you stifle a giggle and say they are practically in disposed at the moment.

iwazumi clicks his tongue as he grabs his car keys to go and retrieve all three of you.

when does oikawa come in the picture? oh boy. it’s when he receives a FaceTime call from your phone very late in the evening. he had just gotten out of the shower from a very intensive practice. prepping for a game coming up within a couple of weeks. his face light’s up when he sees his screen flashing with your face and name on it. he quickly clicks on the green button accepting the call.

his eyes grow wide when he hears you whimpering on the other end. the phone had been set up on the dresser of what looks to be iwaizumi’s room. he quickly whips around the locker room he was in to see if anyone else was there and might have heard what was happening.

to his relief it looked like everyone had gone home for the day and it was just him. he turns his attention back to his screen and sees hiro and issei on either side of you. hiro seemed to be ravishing your pussy while issei was pumping himself in and out of your mouth.

tooru’s jaw goes slack and he can feel himself getting hard at the sight of you getting ruined by his best friends.

Just finished S1 of my one day at a time rewatch! I haven’t watched s1 since it came out (or possibly since S2 came out, I can’t remember if I did a rewatch then). Gonna put some of my thoughts under the cut!

i never noticed the creation of adam in the scene after kyubey tells madoka that without the incubators, humans would most likely still be living naked in caves. in a similar vein, without the incubators, the cycle of magical girl -> witch -> witch used as a motivator to turn more magical girls wouldn't have been introduced to humanity, which makes him the bringer of original sin.

this is also shown during a scene where madoka's mom and teacher are talking about her. the way madoka's mom raises her, by placing trust in her and loving and caring for her so much, turns her into the selfless, responsible person she is. madoka in turn loves the world and its people so much that that inspires homura's love for her, which, through the timeloops and tying so many people's destinies to madoka's, gives her the power to end the magical girl/witch cycle, which makes madoka's mom like god, that she(although unknowingly) gave her daughter for the world

I'm re-watching rebels, and I also remembering why I loved the series.

A problem I has with CW is that The characters, (specifically the protagonists: Anakin and Ahsoka) I feel them cold, distant. At no time do they reveal their fears and desires, they just bury their feelings as if that will eliminate or forget them. They don't allow themselves to be vulnerable because of Jedi supremacy. They see those emotions as a flaw, and it prevents them from growing as people, characters or even as a real jedis.

Instead, Rebels shows the true nature of each character; and, something worth noting is that, despite also fighting in a war, the protagonists allow themselves to have their arc of acceptance and evolution.

Zeb, Hera, Sabine, Kanan and Ezra shares traumas and personal problems that they carry with them to the present and that they have to deal with. And despite living surrounded by stress, with demanding situations, they allow themselves to live, experience the chances at their own way, feel every moment.

They are not afraid to show themselves vulnerable, together.

And on a personal level, I think Ezra stands out the most. He has one fear: losing those he loves the most, but instead of wallowing in his own misery and wasting the opportunity to love again, he learns to love in a healthy way and fights for them. He supports them in everything, unconditionally.

That's what a true Jedi does.

Something I also love is how Kanan, having distanced himself from the order at a very young age, did not allow himself to be indoctrinated by the outdated principles (and because he didn't know them jsksjsk) and allowed himself to see The force as it truly is: a fundamental part of every living being; not power, not a tool; but as love, kindness, and benignity, which allows to each individual to bring out their best. And he tried it and saw it with his own eyes at the time: the force is opportunity and hope.

The spectres are a family. They have their own internal battles, but they face them together.

That's why That's why I feel like Rebels has more soul and heart than any other animated show.
