Hi there! I'm currently rereading KHR and I just wanted to talk about it to someone because my feelings are as strong as they were the first time I read the series seven years ago lol. May I ask, in your opinion, what themes do you think could have been expanded more in the manga? (Other than the Cervello that if I remember correctly, were never fully explained). Thanks! :)

Themes? Hrmm... KHR is honestly such a mess because it changed from gag manga to shonen, so it's like, I do and do not want more exploration of Tsuna not wanting to run vongola?

Like, the ending was... something. I wanted Tsuna to accept Vongola considering all the shit he did to inherit it? The Sky Battle, the inheritance test with past vongola bosses, irrevocably changing the rings to suit tsuna+co customized to fit them specifically. Among... many other things. So, his continued denial frustrated me until the very end. And I was unhappy that the MC was unhappy. Didn't like it. Ahaha...

Also, the previous bosses.... and OH! The dead Vongola brothers. Wtf, man. Considering these were Tsuna's fellow heirs and they all were brutally murdered? Some info would've been nice. Lol.

I also LOVE the Arcobaleno and the concept of them? Would've wanted more on how these seven are specifically the Seven Strongest in the World. And how the world is running basically on their fucking Flames alone???

Kawahira treats the other two-thirds of the trinisette as negligible after all. Which is. Wow. These poor babies.

Actually, I love the Flames as concepts in general. Fandom took the idea and RAN with it and it's great. Canonically the Flames are just superpowers? Like the planeteers in Captain Planet or benders in ATLA. They don't actually have much to do with personalities, etc. At least, it's never said as such. They don't matter much in the overall scheme of things, really... Like, Harmonization is pure fanon... but it's such a good addition. So, Flame Lore: 💯

Also, I was overall indifferent to Earth Flames + Simon, so that could've been explored better. The link between that and Kawahira's people/trinisette would've been interesting. Why are they so rare? Did Earth Flames also come from his people or perhaps... Earth Flames are human beings' response to Sky Flames? Hm... that's an idea...

Hello! I’m sorry to bother again (you can answer privately if you prefer to) but I have a question about KHR and since you know so much about it I wanted to try and ask :)

Maybe this was stated somewhere in the manga and I just didn’t notice it, but did Haru and Kyoko retain their memories about what happened in the future and are currently aware of the mafia and everything Tsuna is doing?

I’m asking because during the last arc (chapter 391), when he calls for everyone and asks them to fight with him for Reborn and the rest of the Arcobaleno, Haru and Kyoko come visit and when they see Dino’s men outside Tsuna’s house Haru says “those people are Dino-san’s subordinates” (so she’s aware they are part of the mafia or at least part of some kind of organization but neither she nor Kyoko are scared/worried about that).

Then they meet Bianchi who mentions the Arcobaleno but then tells them to go outside with her just before Tsuna starts explaining his plan. So in the end I’m a little confused about all of this: are the girls fully aware of the mafia and Tsuna’s just trying not to involve them any further or they don’t know anything about it?

Maaan, Amano just did not treat her female characters right.

If you recall, Haru knew about the mafia for a long time. Remember her dream of becoming Tsuna's "mafia wife"? Lol. Then she just fell off from being around for a bit and seemed to forget about it until Tsuna explained what was going on in the Future Arc.

There was absolutely no mention of memory erasure when the girls returned to the past. So, you're good on that.

That Tsuna/Amano still insisted on treated the girls like ignorant flowers after they returned to the present is insulting and definitely confusing.

tl;dr You didnt miss anything. The girls know about the mafia, they just don't have a place in it unless and until Tsuna says otherwise.
