My biggest green flag is having my husband read Ch 54 and his first response was:
"But where is the apology?? 'I felt bad for hurting you' is not an apology."
the chuseok flashback was so bittersweet. kim iwol suddenly having a reason to celebrate chuseok, him trying his best to prepare something nice for his noona with the limited skills and supplies he had, him feeling closer to her through it all, i’m so TT. it’s so tragically realistic, but it’s heartwarming how much he loves her and misses her which loops it back around to sad :( i’m glad that he was able to gain comfort from it all, it’s js so devastating :((((
Lost little boy
Okay, OP Academy's second half of 54 was just adorable and so precious. One of my favorite chapters of the spin off thus far.
The chapter continues from last time with Luffy and Shirahoshi meeting, and quickly moves into the two talking about Shirahoshi's experiences with school.
During her first time attending a new school, she was shy and unable to bring herself to talk to anybody, but Rebecca recognized her as being in the same class and reached out, and the two quickly became friends.
Rebecca later invites Shirahoshi to her birthday party, but because the universe is mean, Shirahoshi catches a fever and ends up missing the next two weeks of school, and is now afraid that, if she meets Rebecca again, she will think she forgot her and not want to be friends anymore! Nooo! Shirahoshi being so sad breaks my heart here.
Luckily, Luffy is here and reassures her that things will work out, she just has to show the notebooks to Rebecca and she'll remember.
After Luffy gathers some pieces of a broken ship for his plan, the two zip off to school to meet Rebecca. Awwww! I love this chapter and how it's incorporating Shirahoshi and Rebecca's friendship from the main manga. It's just incredibly sweet.
We got this cute panel of Shirahoshi meeting Vivi years ago too.
Next chapter releases on the 6th/7th of March!
