HAGGAI S.O.A.P. ~ CHAPTER 1

SCRIPTURE:

On the first day of the sixth month of the second year that Darius was king of Persia, the Lord told Haggai the prophet to speak his message to the governor of Judah and to the high priest. So Haggai told Governor Zerubbabel and High Priest Joshua that the Lord All-Powerful had said to them and to the people: You say this isn't the right time to build a temple for Me.  But is it right for you to live in expensive houses, while My temple is a pile of ruins?  Just look at what's happening.  ~ Haggai 1:1-5

How often to my priorities bump ahead of what (I know), God wants?

For His Kingdom...

For others...

For me...

And just look at what happens...

APPLICATION:

Look at what's happening...

Think about what He has said! (Verse 7)

PRAYER: 

Father God - please forgive my putting my wants ahead of Your will - Your priorities - Thank You for Your grace and mercy, and please forgive my taking advantage of Your patience - May I pause before acting or speaking - and may the Holy Spirit stop those thoughts that seem to spring fully formed leading to disobedience - Thank You, too, for Jesus Who makes it possible to come before You in humility and praiseful worship - In His Name - and for Your glory...
