[News] Geowulf veröffentlichen einen weiteren Song

Die australische Band Geowulf veröffentlicht einen neuen verträumten Song von ihrem kommenden zweiten Album “My Resignation”. Über "Round & Round" sagt Sängerin Star Kendrick: “I was frustrated with maybe a lack of self-control and an inability to break patterns in my life... In a few areas. This song is my way to poking holes in how I handled that. The rest of the album follows a similar, emotional narrative, and is all about exploring those old things & how I’ve tried to leave them behind.”

[Album] Geowulf verkünden Details zu zweiten Album

Geowulf veröffentlichten am 25.10.2019 ihr neues Album “My Resignation”. Ein Jahr nach dem wunderbar verspielten Popdebüt “Great Big Blue” präsentiert das australische Duo bestehend aus Star Kendrick und Toma Banjanin nun elf neue Tracks im 90s-Alt-Pop-Gewand.

War das Leben von Geowulf bisher durch eine gewisse Rastlosigkeit geprägt – Star und Toma zogen in den letzten Jahren von der australischen Sunshine Coast über Berlin und Göteborg nach London - geht es in der britischen Wahlheimat nun etwas strukturierter zu. Die Beiden sind nicht nur als Menschen, sondern auch als Künstler gefestigter und strahlen das auch in ihrer Musik aus. 

“My Resignation” kommt selbstbewusster und geradliniger daher, ohne dass ihr Beach Pop, so wie es selbst beschreiben, an Unbeschwertheit verliert. Einmal mehr haben Geowulf den Soundtrack für melancholische und verträumte Sommerabende geschrieben. Neben “I See Red” gibt es auch den Track “He’s 31″ bereits zu hören, um sich einen ersten Eindruck vom neuen Album zu machen.

I've been thinking about something for a while now... I think it is time for me to retire from this platform. I was never great here, and I had so little impact with so many negative repercussions it was never really worth it. I want to find joy apart from the validation of others, and I feel as though that was what I wanted most here. I know there are so many lovely people that remain here, and I wish them the best. I hope all the writers and artists are able to use this platform to its fullest, because I never could.

I regret to inform you that I will be taking my leave of the company. My main reason for leaving at this time being my health. You deserve an employee that can show up for their shifts when you need them to. If I were inclined to continue my retail experience Lenscrafters would definitely be the employer to work for.
